Barring last minute opposition from Congress, Saudi Arabia is poised to receive a hefty $1.3 billion weapons package that includes 13,000 “smart bombs” from the United States by the end of the year. But don’t necessarily expect it to be used to fight ISIS.
Critics say the payload of sophisticated weapons will instead bolster the Saudis' continuing air war against the Houthi rebels in Yemen. That campaign is drawing fire from human rights groups, who say the kingdom has been targeting civilians with American-made weapons, and may be responsible for war crimes.
What? Is this a joke?
This will only improve Trumps polls.
As much as I don't want people to die, and innocent shouldn't. I really don't know who this is helping since it has bit us in the ass so many times before when helping any middle east country. This isn't our war, why are we fighting it?
What? Is this a joke?
Nope.
As usual, brilliant foreign policy by the Obama Administration.
To me it's as if the dems are almost handing the republicans a victory given recent events

Both are disastrous.
Both are disastrous.
No side is perfect but at least Trump states his objectives and is willing to see them through while winning most america's republican party. The Dems, I have no idea about
Lol.
We only like them cause the oil.....
They don't even let women drive.
These weapons are going to be used against us be extremists one day.
Its not like Bush was any different though, he did the same thing.

after seeing some of trumps "objectives," im not sure "wanting to see them through" is much of a plus.

We get all of our oil from Canada, only thing they can influence is the price, which they tanked last year.

Oh really?
Then why are we allies?
wth?
Ummm. Ok
Dont they pretty much hate us, and we disagree witht their entire ideologys.

Some of trumps latest statements raise concern I agree, but a deal like this isn't helping any argument against him

It worked out fine for Carter.

I think he was talking about the fact he won, not his goals
Remember Obama is soft on terrorism, after all it's not like he's fighting a drone war in Pakistan and Afghanistan, or defending Iraq by dropping the most bombs the air force has done since Vietnam, or using American special forces to strike at targets deep inside enemy territory, nope he's not committed US ground forces to this fight so he's soft on terror and has betrayed our trust with our allies whom have all followed us into a coalition bombing isis
The only reason this upsets me is because if Trump was like "Let's give guns to brown people to kill the bad brown people and their families" Everyone would be cheering about how he's speaking his mind and how the extra money will make America great again. The fact that both sides literally spout the same bullshit and will accomplish maybe 5-6% of their political promises is ridiculous. Even more sad is the fact that regardless of whether trump gets elected is that he still won't accomplish anything all that great, and everyone who voted for him will just be complaining about the government within weeks of the election. The same goes for pretty much all the candidates.

He isn't and his stance is clear on it, why make up a hypothetical situation?

They are and the news from the EU and around the world of riots only helps any republican member boost their ratings over the dems.
Why the FUCK did this happen again?! Watch as all those guns are gonna be aimed back at the West again in ten or so years. Donkeys are smart enough to know that hurting yourself on the same rock two times in a row is stupid; it takes humans three times to even begin to consider that they need to adjust their fucking plans. Figurately speaking.

No, it's US foreign policy.
No, it's US foreign policy.
The two have become synonymous.

i doubt guided bombs are going to be in the hands of radicals any time soon
Funny how Obama wants to take out Assad and yet Saudi Arabia is as bad if not worse, and we give them fucking arms.
Bravo Obama.
Fucking why?
Why are we giving anyone weapons.

He also is letting terrorists go and they're resurfacing as ISIS terrorists. One of the Gitmo guys that helped Bin Laden is fighting in Yemen now.

Where do you think the surplus goes? The US sells to pretty much anyone, as long as they can pay the price, and the UN lets them.
Its hardly anything new, and they export to literally half the world. They are the biggest arms exporter in the world, and Saudi Arabia one of the biggest importers.
