Where is Disraeli, he was like the most important politician of the time?
Also maybe I'm overthinking it but I bet most of the people who you kill in that game are sort of poor people that Marx was talking about.
I always found it dumb in AC games where it just shoves every Important historical thing down your throat as if it was some kinda amusement park. Then again AC is one I guess.
Nobody takes the AC serious anymore, right? They could throw the literal Oliver Twist character into the game and nobody would be surprised.

As someone who loves history, that's always been kind of the fun part about the games; for me at, at least. It's interesting to see how they design each character and how they interpret their personality and motivations as well as depicting whether someone is a Templar affiliate or Assassin. Some are more interesting than others and some are less contrived than others but it still adds to the fun of playing around in history.

Personally, I love Assassin's Creed because of how it plays with history. I have my grievances about each game's plot and the momentum of the overall plot for the franchise. To say they'd add in a fictional character from- as you suggested- Oliver Twist, I doubt. They could, however, play with the idea and say that there is someone or something associated with the Assassin/Templar conflict that inspired their contribution to history. The same was done with Ezio being the inspiration for Machiavelli's The Prince and how Connor played a part in turning Washington away from becoming a monarch in The Tyranny of King Washington DLC for ACIII. I like how they play with history and build off of urban legends and conspiracy theories and what not and tie it into the rest of the mythology they've established.
Incorporating these characters just have to make sense. It can't be just a hammy excuse to say that they've included a famous person just for the sake of doing it ("because we can." essentially). I'm confident from the more I watch about this game that they will play significant roles in the story just as much as Leonardo DaVinci did in the ACII.
Well, I'm hoping they do at least. I'm actually excited for this game. Unity was like the original AC in the sense that it demonstrated future potential for the series so maybe this game will become the ACII of Unity?
