You basically remove the city textures and just replace em' with regular colors..
and there, badda bing , badda boom your new trippy, 'shroom inspired click bait title for the day!
Mirror's Edge literally had a DLC that looked like this.
In fact, it looked better than this.

I understand where you are coming from and that's a legitimate complaint that I agree with, but hopefully they improve from where they are at now, since it really isn't much to look at

They should be able to do about as good as the ME dlc was
I doubt that many people worked on the DLC.
that's not so much cynicism as it is optimism for what indie devs are able to get done.
Hell I don't know what kind of 'shrooms this guy was taking but I don't remember anything like that, colour me jealous. (Insert comment about shitty PCGamesN articles)
On a serious note, game looks O.K., not about to buy into any other early access games though. The art style sort of grates on the eyes too while in motion, it's so flat, here's hoping they don't keep the over-simplified design just for it's own sake, and try to give the game some more personality as it develops.

You don't need a hundred-strong team to come up with good ideas and implement them even if it means they're in a basic form.
If they have/had more ideas they should have waited until they had substantial content.
Wasn't this made by a FP'er? I saw something like it on WAYWO.

It was Robert Briscoe and one other guy who made the DLC levels.
