Jon Berg is overseeing it for the studio.
[Source]
Oooooooh, sounds interesting
Ken Levine better voice all characters.
That sounds fucking AWESOME, the movie was pretty great when I watched it for the first time.
I hope they make the actual gameplay better this time. Infinite's narrative and lore were amazing, but I feel that it was let down somewhat by the rather repetitive fighting mechanics.

Combat was fine but an absolute downgrade from the earlier games.

It felt sort of cheapened when that whole [sp]lighthouse thing[/sp]. It was cool but they could've at least included more of [sp]Rapture[/sp]
Oh okay so he will make a trailer that shows all the amazing stuff he did! Then in the actualy movie, 80% of it will be missing and the rest won't make any sense. Can't wait!
I am so tired of dystopian games and movies
Why would they hire a creative director as a writer, instead of an actual writer?
So.... Another System Shock/Bioshock? Eh. (User was banned for this post ("Didn't read the article." - Swebonny))

Am I the only one who really didn't like Bioshock's ending? It reeked of a company trying way to hard to make their plot matter. I mean, I enjoy big, sprawling, universe changing plots on occasion, but Bioshock was never one of the games that I considered a plot like that being in. I would have preferred something still complex but not "disappearing up its own ass" complex, to quote Yahtzee Croshaw. It also felt like a weak attempt to somehow tie it to the first game. While I admit it was bold and certainly a step up from the "crazy man owns a city" plot that it started up being. With that said, I do think that maybe the whole "parallel dimensions" thing could have been done easier. Like, maybe they should have eased the player into it more instead of just mind-fucking you in the last 30 minutes. That just made it to hard to digest. So with that said, I am a little worried about Ken writing a movie. I mean, he is a great writer in all regards, I just hope he doesn't go too crazy like with Infinite.

I think Infinite's ending is mostly a setup for future Bioshock games. Once you go to a scale that big it would be simply a disappointment if a future game wouldn't mention it at all. Infinite showed us that you *can* in way tamper with these rules and causality itself, and where there's room for manipulation there's room for a villain. They just have to be able to juggle things on a scale that big without losing the player. Only thing I didn't like about the ending, aside from the railroading that was only part of its point, was how Elizabeth went the last big step from "A choice is better than none, Mr. DeWitt. No matter the outcome" to "yo imma take your baptism choice away and wipe out my world along with everything tears ever connected it to (because now they don't make sense either) for the benefit of nobody alive to appreciate it. Hell, even in the best case scenario where I'd create a new timeline where you didn't become evil or gave me away (but are still some drunken gambling war psycho with none of Infinite's char development to possibly redeem it...), the universe still demands there's a city/lighthouse/man/rescue in it like in all Bioshocks comes with its own apocalypse potential - so really, I just move the problem to some other poor tosser! Annihilation of infinite worlds for the benefit of the very small minority that is two people! That's such a step up from my father's plan to destroy/conquer one world for the benefit of a single city!" Yo, Old Elizabeth, you sent me back in time too late. Alternatively, damn that revolutionist lady's death causing her to snap. Alternatively alternatively, damn the DeWitts for having piss-poor decision making skills ingrained into their DNA or something. /rant
not much hope considering bioshock infinite's plot was a hole-ridden pretentious mess. i guess the first two were pretty decent but presenting a serious topic!! =/= being super d33p 2 dumbs for insulting "muh super deep narrative driven game!!!!"
I really liked Logans Run, although it did not age very well at all. The robot in the ice cave is hilarious.
Logan's Run is one of my favorite sci fi movies. But I can't stand the filler scene in which the characters find the robot in the ice. Ending always makes me happy with joy
I happened to love every moment of Infinite, didn't have a problem with the plot or gameplay
I loved Infinite, but it really was disheartening to see the gameplay boiled down to "walk to room, shoot people, walk to next room, shoot more people" I miss the pseudo-open world style of the original Bioshock FAR more.
I got lost in Bioshock 1 & 2 often
I happened to love every moment of Infinite, didn't have a problem with the plot or gameplay
Same I can see why people would have issues with either but in my mind its not bad just a matter of taste. I personally really loved the gameplay of infinite and the story I feel like a lot of the flak infinite gets now is simply because it was so hugely popular and highly praised, and as such people tend to be much more (even unusually more) sensitive to things in the game that didn't feel perfect to the player
Hope it comes out before I'm 30.
i thought the ending of infinite was pretty pretentious [sp]dohohoho booker was comstock all along and elizabeth's your daughter anna, you're booker in some worlds, comstock in others, everything is an illusion, the truth ooooooooh[/sp] i mean come on, they try to make it sound so deep and philosophical

How are people supposed to push the envelope? People calling others "tryhards" for trying to win at an online game is the same thing. It's all basically saying "It's cute that you put in work to try and do something special, but I'm just above that. How silly of you." Bioshock Infinite wasn't pretentious or trying to shove some moral down your throat. It was a huge puzzle with a lot of complex themes that it wasn't preachy about. It shows you the good or bad of each one and then leaves you to draw your own conclusions. The twist at the end just completes the puzzle you've been putting together the whole game. I'm sorry, AJisAwesome15, if you think this is an attack on you, because it really isn't, and I'm sorry. It's just something that bugs me.
I thought everyone liked Bioshock Infinite?
I happened to love every single bit of Bioshock Infinite's gameplay and story. Yeah, some things were a bit off like the disconnect between certain mechanics and the story (e.g. the looting of trashcans right in front of Columbia's citizens and the fact that no one besides you used vigors), but besides that I thought it was handled in a very mature way and tackled topics that many games wouldn't dare to explore. I also thought the entire plot was being fed to you throughout the entire game, but the player just didn't pick up on it because of Ken's brilliant misdirection (e.g. [SP] Comstock claiming he was a commander and the museum level. Sorry, but that shit was smart. [/SP]) I also agree with Jonii. Calling something pretentious because it tries to be philosophical or intelligent is just silly to me. It's a cop-out and not a valid argument at all. Is every game supposed to be stupid like Call of Duty for it to be enjoyable? Fuck that. I actually enjoy my media being good.
