I have recently started to go to the gym to develop my fitness. I would say I am overweight but certainly not obese. What I would like to ask, what is the best method/routine to lose weight and develop my fitness. I would like to lose something and hopefully look better by the end of summer.
Thanks, that has sort of helped. Do you maybe have anything to add to that which could help me improve? Like should I go to the gym daily and if so, for how long?

Go to the gym every day for at least 2 hours. Only work on legs and lower back (squats and deadlifts) every third or fourth time though. Eat as little as you can (less food, less weight). Eat lots of carbs to give your body enough fast energy to avoid it starting to shed the muscles instead of the fat.

Wat.
You should not eat carbs to avoid muscle loss thats just retarded.
No Perfumly, you are wrong.
Other good tips:
- If you don't eat just a little after each set, you'll get no gains. Just a little, like a couple of mouthfuls of bread or something.
- If you do cardio ~8 hours before/after lifting you'll lose all gains.
- Try doing at least three biceps exercises each day.

you'll probably throw up or be stuffed by the end of your workout. the key to gain weight is to eat, but i've never heard of anyone eating in the middle of a workout. seems unnecessary

The biceps doesn't even add that much weight, jeez if you want to gain weight do compounds with heavy weights so you get full body gains.
3. Lose weight
4. Lift stuff, ask people/youtube proper form for exercises, if you're completely clueless, get a book
5. Eat beef
6. Rinse and repeat for 6 months

Do lots of cardio, alternate between sprinting and walking, 15 seconds of running and 60 second break, do that for one week, and every week reduce the break. Do lots of mountion climbers, crunches, planks, jumping jacks, pushups, ect. Make sure to drink at least half/gallon of water each day. Eat 6 small meals throughout the day, take in 1800 calories a day, make it balanced with meats, fruits, and veggies.

You eat a moderate amount of carbs after running because it's good for restoring energy fast, and glucose. You don't have to eat a lot.
