I know I am not supose to make a thread if I'm not going to build a PC in like 4-7 weeks but I am looking for parts and counting money and I need to ask something quick about my PSU.
Planning for a new PC after the summer but right now I started to think power. What I should get are not 100% clear.
So right now I have this PSU

And I wonder if that is enough to power a 6990 OR 2x 6970 and (probably) a i7-2600k.
I thought it would be enough but when I started to read a bit with the powers I started to think.
I have a old 350W lying around so if the power wont be enough can I use that has a second PSU? Feels stupid to go buy a new one...
Thanks.
Yeah it should pull a 6990 and an i7 2600k.
Nice to know that. I thought that would work.
But I am curious about 2x 6970 will work or not. I herd it will run better with 2x 6970 and just not one 6990. It's like the same price.
It's always best to start of with a single graphics card so you have more choice in the future.
get 850w, better headroom if you factor in overclocking

I have thought on that today. Maybe buy a singel 6970 and maybe later buy another or should I go direct with a 6990?

If I do like I said above I might use my 750W and then IF i buy another 6970 I maybe go buy a 1000W.
Not sure yet.
1000w is overkill for two 6970s
Hm ok. Good to know that.
I did just look fast at the price but I did not read about them or anything and 1000w is not so more expensive.
