A convicted killer who once believed he was a 700-year-old vampire will have to step out in the light of day tomorrow when he asks the state Parole Board to bite on his bid for freedom.
James Riva - dubbed the “Vampire Killer” after he shot to death his wheelchair-bound 74-year-old grandmother in Marshfield in 1980 with gold-painted bullets, then fed on the blood from her wounds - has been behind bars more than 29 years.
And should Riva, 52, eligible for parole because he was found guilty of second-degree murder, get out of the Old Colony Correctional Center in Bridgewater, the middle-aged maniac doesn’t intend to be alone for long.
Through an unidentified supporter, Riva has posted notice on his Web site www.jamesriva.com that he is looking to catch up on old times with four women he has “some history with” so that “I can make some small restitution for my previous uncaring actions.”
He’s asking the public to help direct the women to him.
In the same posting, Riva blames his grandmother Carmen Lopez’s murder on his “untreated mental illness.”
After killing Lopez, Riva complained to investigators that she failed to sate him because she “was old and dried up.” He also torched her body.
The Herald reported in 2007 that Riva was using his Web site and at least one online auction block to sell paintings, the rights to two collections of short fiction and greeting cards he’d made with M&M candies.
The peddling of so-called murderabilia by killers is legal in Massachusetts.
Riva has since taken the artwork down from jamesriva.com and apologizes for his moral misstep on the Web site, explaining, “My aim was only to pay restitution to the people I have harmed and to save a little money to make a lawful re-entry to society, should I be fortunate enough to be granted parole.”
Riva claims he converted his Catholic upbringing to Islam in 1990, but is “not a terrorist sympathizer.”
His 2 p.m. hearing at the Parole Board’s Natick offices tomorrow is open to the public.

Yeah, those are genuinely insane people. The Twilight people are just attention seeking nerds.
Hopefully he'll escape and start systematically murdering twitards.
we can only hope
Maybe it's just all the castlevania I played, but vampire killer makes me think more of someone who kills vampires, not is a vampire that kills.

Yep.
Maybe it's just all the castlevania I played, but vampire killer makes me think more of someone who kills vampires, not is a vampire that kills.
As soon as I read the title, I thought of Castlevania. And I thought the same thing.
I expected to find a thread about a guy who was killing people, thinking they were vampires.
He sounds like he's seen the light. :smug:

Always one of you, isn't there?

My brain didn't allow me to see anything else after I read the title.
It's twilight's fault. Ban the series.
so someone went back in time with a copy of twilight in 1980
twilight morons: "leave him alone!!11"
so someone went back in time with a copy of twilight in 1980
You know vampires were around and somewhat cool before Twilight ruined it, right?
Yep.
Agreed.
God... I hate my state
I hate my species...
You know vampires were around and somewhat cool before Twilight ruined it, right?
the guy above me was implying this was caused by twilight
Twilight is the cause of everything bad in the world.
It has an impact in the present and the future. It had an impact even before it existed.
the guy above me was implying this was caused by twilight
Yeah, I thought you were saying the same thing.
If he's a 700 years old vampire, how is his grandmother 74 years old? Why won't the guy think?
If he's a 700 years old vampire, how is his grandmother 74 years old? Why won't the guy think?
He's crazy?
I guess it's kind of along the lines of there being evidence that the world is billions of years old, but Christians think it's only 6,000 ROFL.
How did the blood taste?
How did the blood taste?

Like... er.. Blood?
