What would you do if piracy shut down every entertainment industry?

I, for one, would be simultaniously pitying and angry. Is it even possible for that to happen?
No
Good games don't get pirated
And your avatar is creepy
No, because not every human on earth pirates stuff
But what if no-onebought anything because "they can just get it for free anyway"?

Because some people have morals and regard piracy as stealing

Don't copy that floppy?
Well you can go to jail so a lot of people tend to stray away when they hear that, so probaly not.
And having a physical copy is really good with the lovely book and it's smell and those shiny plastic boxes hmm.
Ah getting caried away here, well if in theory all people would use torrent to download they will start taking down torrent databases which they are already doing.
There will probaly be a replacement if in theory torrenting will be taken down completely.
If it will destroy the industry like we know it now since people don't want the lovely shiny boxes with pictures they can pay for it on certain payed downloading site like Itunes and known others.
I would say 'oh no!' and continue with my life.
I would pirate some more. :downs:
I guess I would stop being a pirate.
The only games which I really care for and are uninstalled less than half a year later can't be pirated anyways, valve's games, guild wars, etc...
The worse thing widespread piracy could do is change the way the industry operates. Just like newspapers are slowly giving way to the internet.
I would continue to take what I want because I don't care.
Untill there's noting else to take? Then what?
And thanks for the optimistic ratings!

For some reason that reminded me of this
Also a lot of people who download stuff illegally wouldn't have bought it in the first place anyway.
more than everyone on the earth would have to pirate everything. Statistically its impossible to tell if piracy has a bigger effect on the entertainment industry than terrorism. It's just too big. (that's what she said)

I'm not gonna lie, i love pirating stuff, go ahead and hate, but if there is something that i do support, like valve, or games that i like, i'll buy them. Music on the other hand, everyone that i listen to is dead, either the group or the people, so thy won't see any of that money.
I don't worry about it.
Because it won't shut that industry down.
I would die in the inside and than form a secret society that would make up for the entertainment loss.
I would get banned on Facepunch for talking about it.
Piracy is just the Luddites vs the Tech savvy.
The whole Idea of physical games and products will go the way of steam power, and in that fasion there will be opposition.
I'd Embrace it.
If piracy shut down every entertainment industry, piracy couldn't exist. Go figure.
That would be why they'd shut down entertainment in the first place.
