Think it's been bumped up to 8 dead and something like 15 seriously injured.
Apparently two kids / babies were hit :(
'The lorry just lost control, it just went along the pavement knocking people down. There was a baby in a buggy, there were two little kids. It travelled for 150 or 200 yards.
Just like that bit in World War Z, same street and everything. (User was banned for this post ("Not relevant" - SteveUK))
Been hearing about it on the news, always extra terrible when people die near Christmas.
Those poor people, killed in such a tragic accident and so close to Christmas too. This reminds me of the crash at The Clutha which happened at a similar time last year.
Just like that bit in World War Z, same street and everything.
I hate to be the guy that knows someone involved, but my cousin that is currently there right now was an extra in the filming of this scene. He was one of the zombie jumping over cars as he is an actor / freerunner.
oh shit, I walk past there every day on my way to uni
oh shit, I walk past there every day on my way to uni
I know it's such a pretty asinine thing to think about, but I usually wait at that spot outside queen street station for my friends when we go to College. My classes finished yesterday, but just thinking about the fact that it could've been myself or anyone else I know is pretty scary. It's upsetting because whilst Glasgow is a pretty big town, the people inside it make it very tight-nit. There's a lot of genuine nice people to be found walking around it and everyone within it is literally mourning right now.

it so fucking weird, I walk on that street every day in college.
I would be asking myself if I had a fever dream going on if I saw that happen because goddamn that's surreal and scary. What a way to go, that's garbage.
What a way to go, that's garbage.
Really?
6 now confirmed dead
me n me mates always get way more trashed near christmas though
Just like that bit in World War Z, same street and everything.
Are you fucking kidding me
Aw fuck not this close to Christmas :(
me n me mates always get way more trashed near christmas though
your post is trash

Were his employees aware the driver had a heart problem? Its on suspicion that the driver had a heart attack.
Just like that bit in World War Z, same street and everything.
hahahah I too can't enter threads about tragedies without pondering how I can whore as many funnies as possible
Really?
Wow, I make an inadvertent pun and people get upset. Can't live or exist without hurting some poor persons feelings I guess.
Wow, I make an inadvertent pun and people get upset.
Of course people are going to be annoyed when someone makes a pathetic attempt at using a very recent tragedy to cash in on some shitty humour.
I think his point is that he didn't mean for it to be a pun; but he also chose the worst possible word choice at the end there :v:
Imagine waking up in hospital and being told that you accidentally killed 8 people, that guilt will haunt him forever
I think his point is that he didn't mean for it to be a pun; but he also chose the worst possible word choice at the end there :v:
Considering the circumstances and how forced it looks, I seriously doubt that it was inadvertent.
Considering the circumstances and how forced it looks, I seriously doubt that it was inadvertent.
Well; I'm not him so I don't know. No point thinking about it anymore. All I can do is hope the injured people make it through.
imagine how bad the lorry driver feels, seeing all those people disappear under the front while he's helpless to stop it.
