Ok so the title might be a little bit confusing but let me explain. It started 2 days ago, I was playing a game when, suddenly, the screen went black and the Dell logo appeared on the screen before it went back to normal. Unfortunately, it became more and more frequent. I tried to de-plug and re-plug the cables but it didn't work. This morning, when I went to open my computer, I went through the loading screen and then it went black and the Dell logo appeared for 1-2 seconds and it went back to the black screen. The problem is that it goes back to the Dell logo right after it goes to the black screen and does that over and over until the screen close itself(not completely).
I don't know if it's because of the cables or the monitor itself is broken. Thanks.
probably failing capacitors if it gradually got worse and it's solely a problem with the monitor (i.e. it does the same thing when connected to another computer or input)
not too bad of a repair job but for most people it'd just be easier to get a new monitor
Welp, I used to have some DELL monitor, which started acting up exactly like this. Going black for a few seconds, then back to normal.
No logos on the screen though, just to black and back. Weird thing was, I tried it on like 2 different GPU's, occurred on both of them iirc.
Then tried the monitor on an older PC; worked flawlessly, as kinda expected.
Then the monitor sat in storage for a good 6 months at least.
Then tried it on a newer, recently built PC (GTX960) to see if it would work and thank god, it worked. And it continues to work flawlessly years after purchase, after all the acting up and sitting in storage before.
(TL/DR; It might be your computer causing it, and not the monitor itself)

Do you have another monitor and/or PC that you can swap in? That would help narrow down where the problem lies.
I still have an old as fuck dell monitor from like 8-12 years ago. I'm gonna try swap my current monitor for it.
This happened with a TV of mine, luckly it was the HDMI cable, have you tried swapping cables?
