To measure your heart rate, you can either use a heart rate monitor, or just set a stopwatch to 30 seconds, count the heartbeats in that time then double that amount. Healthy range is 60-100bpm. Beyond that is unhealthy. Below that is usually ok provided it's not extremely low. Just measured mine and got 55.
