Judge Peter Noll told the Munich state court Tuesday that Ecclestone's trial was finished, news agency dpa reported. He had faced charges of bribery and incitement to breach of trust. The charges involved a $44 million payment to banker Gerhard Gribkowsky, who is serving an 8 1/2-year sentence for taking the money and was convicted of offenses including tax evasion. The 83-year-old Ecclestone denied wrongdoing and said Gribkowsky blackmailed him. Ecclestone's lawyers last week called for proceedings to be dropped. The agreed on a $100 million payment in talks with prosecutors.
http://abcnews.go.com/Sports/wireStory/prosecutors-accept-ending-ecclestone-trial-24842707 How a bribery trial ends with bribery. The best part is, that the person who accepted the bribery is serving a prison sentence while the person who offered the bribery is allowed to buy his freedom.
Anyone in any other organisation would be forced to resign due to their position being untenable after being charged / tried / found guilty of bribery. Bernie is a joke.
Look at that grin. He knows exactly how fucking unjust this is and he's enjoying every single moment of it. :v:

Still pretty ugly, but not quite as bad as if someone guilty wins a trial.
