i dont need a monitor, i'll be using my samsung tv, and i dont really care about noise. Im in hawaii. I wanna be able to run guild wars 2 on high :)
TV is not really that good as a monitor.
Is it worth buying a monitor? I suppose if I'm buying expensive parts for graphics I'd want to see it, how much does a decent monitor run for?

Me for example, I'll be using my 26" HDTV for a while until I get my CRT Monitor from my dads place. Not the best, but it works. Since they are usually bigger, you'll need a graphics card that can support a larger screen/resolution.
