Okay so I had an Acer 5920G. It's a laptop.
One day, the motherboard just burns. My laptop wouldn't start, so I just brought it back to Acer since it was still on warranty.
I wait. 5 weeks go by and Oh ! Theres my PC. Looks alright. Everything works even if i don't have anything on my HDD left (they didn't even send it back ? )
So my PC works, for... 3 days.
After that, same problem, my PC won't start up.
I waited 5 fkin weeks to get my PC back and they can't even repair it ? Who works there ? I mean, are they so uncompetent that they can't see what to do ?
Im sick of Acer, which laptop should I buy next ?
So you had an acer laptop and desktop that broke?
No laptop, build pc, live happy.
Just buy an ASUS laptop and call it good.

Well if you can give me the money to buy a good PC, then I will. :smug:

Use the money that you used to buy a laptop and buy a desktop.
Theres not much of a price difference.
Get an ASUS UL30Vt-X1 and call it a day.
acer is terrible, never buy it
build your own. its cheaper and you can build it depending on your needs: no need for an overpriced pre-built.
oh and if you do build your own, buy parts from newegg.
I don't think it is really possible to build my own laptop... And I do really need a laptop since I move a lot.
Don't buy laptop if it's not from HP

What? Since when?
Not sure about US or UK, but in Australia, you can get an ASUS laptop with an Mobility Radeon 5730 for 2k, but for 2.8k you get a GT 230M, but everything else is basically the same.
Acer is quite good actually.
HP is where the hurt is at atm. (HP and Packard Bell)
I sell laptops parttime in an electronics store and we get way more PB and HP laptops in for repairs then Acer, Asus,Compaq(hp), Sony ect.
On a different note my 5920G has been running for 3 years.

Well, I have used 3 HP laptop and never had technical problem with them
why do you put spaces before your punctuations?

it's not even all of them, it's just your question marks. by god that's annoying.
[editline]01:26PM[/editline]
i have an asus laptop (f50 series). i've had terrible technical issues with it, have had to send it in twice. however, they always get it back in like a week and are extremely helpful. it's worked pretty well besides that.
Just go desktop and be happy.
If you're in the UK, Novatech laptops tend to be juuuust fine.

This man speaks the the truth, I was young and foolish, and got a 17" laptop, making portability harder. It is terrible in games (8400m GS, need I say more) and I am now saving for a desktop build.
