I'm soon to be studying photography and I would really like to get a decent camera. I enjoy photography as a hobby and yeah, I'd like to get something which I can use to get some great shots. Cost isn't too much of a problem as I'm willing to put in as much overtime as needed and I have enough patience if the camera is amazing so I'm going for quality rather than price.
I definately want something with good shutter speed, zoom etc and something which produces a 'nice' image basically.
So what cameras would you all recommend, what do you use?
Excuse my stupid post, this will be the first 'photography' camera I buy, I currently use the lumix panasonic (mehh) but now it's time to get something really decent.
Thanks in advance for your help :)
(not sure if this was the right place to post this? hope so lol)

It's a really good, easy to use, easy to configure camera :D
It gets you really smooth pictures man..
I just read a review on it and it seems pretty great (: Any idea on shutter speed, it didn't include that in the review? I'll be using it for animal (equine/canine) action shots a lot of the time so it needs a relatively fast shutter speed. Other than that it looks awesome. Thanks :)
Thanks for joining the forum, but I'd like to point out a thread we have for you to ask questions in. I'm going to have to lock this thread though. Feel free to keep posting in the megathread!

and, for sake of, I'll add that a good starter camera would be the D5000, it's what I have. (I always suggest it though, so don't mind me).
