$1000 for that, are you fucking kidding me?

I'd say it's a move to get teenagers interested in coding and I have zero problems with that

It was a 12 year old kid, $1000 isnt a great deal of money to a lot of people, but it is to a kid, and its a good motivation for them to get interested in programming.

$1000 is a huge amount of money to me, It's more than I make in an entire month.

More than I make in a year
Higher than my country's GDP
$1000 sounds like a lot, £627 less so.
I started programming when I was 10. No one recognized what I did

My school should go fuck itself in the ass for not actually teaching me anything in ICT.

down here in southern alabama all i took was a mandatory class on using basic windows applications (word, excel, etc) and absolutely nothing else. I knew more than the teacher of that class. Everything is terrible.
Wow his code is terrible

Yeah, but to be fair this is the under 13s bracket.

I was lucky that my high school actually had a two year class in Graphic Communications (Photoshop and Illustrator) Which I had already been doing since Paint Shop Pro 3 was new and nothing was taught to me that I didn't already know. But not many people took the class because you HAD to take 6 months of KEYBOARDING, to learn how to type properly, and 6 months of the most boring, and tedious class in existence, Document Creation and Design, AKA Typing shit in Word, and those required classes used Windows 95, while the Graphic Arts used Macs with one-button mice which made everything annoying
None of it's useful now as today's versions of Word and Photoshop do EVERYTHING automatically and easily that we had to do the hard way. I only wish that we were taught something like programming, of any kind, but computers and electronic devices were just catching on with teens

£627 would have meant fucking everything to me when I was 12
That's a whole PC and then some
Wow his code is terrible
The irony.
Where's this 'The Matrix' thing? It sounds way better than a timelapse thing.

There's a screenshot at the Raspberry Pi site here, but not a download link for some reason.
