Ok upgrading my main desktop and I am hung up on a new case.. I want it to be presentable (nice looking) but me being me i cant decide: http://www.frys.com/product/6242120?site=sr:SEARCH:MAIN_RSLT_PG http://www.frys.com/product/6030508?site=sr:SEARCH:MAIN_RSLT_PG http://www.frys.com/product/5635531?site=sr:SEARCH:MAIN_RSLT_PG All of these I can pick up anytime this week. I have around $5,000 to spend on building this thing.. I'm probably going with an i7 intel CPU but any suggestions are welcome. Im not needing a harddrive as I will be using SSD and my existing drives I'm using the existing hard drives.
Is the first suggestion a joke? the Antec 1200 is the best performance wise, however if I were you I would look into some more classy Lian Li cases with a budget that size.
no its not a joke.... I don't want to order parts and the ones i listed i can pick up locally. i want it to look nice, not get hot, and not sound like a beehive.. So far I have this together: CPU: http://www.frys.com/product/6183659?site=sr:SEARCH:MAIN_RSLT_PG Mainboard: http://www.frys.com/product/6269210?site=sr:SEARCH:MAIN_RSLT_PG RAM: http://www.frys.com/product/6228370?site=sr:SEARCH:MAIN_RSLT_PG (2 sets) Video: http://www.frys.com/product/6221100?site=sr:SEARCH:MAIN_RSLT_PG (two) keybpard and mouse will be determined when i pick up the parts
The 1200 probably sounds like a windtunnel with that many fans. As milky said, look for a lian li. Most of their cases fulfill your requirements.
Why are you buying from Fry's? Also, why do you need an i7? Are you just gaming, because if you are i7 is a waste of money.
i5 for gaming.
Bah if he gets a 980x he'll be set to go for another 10years lol. If you have the money get that build but get it from newegg

My next option is to use my dealer account and order direct from intel. i know an i7 is a big processor but I do alot of rendering and design of radio antenna towers and components, etc. also so I need it.
what's your definition of nice? pro gamer plastic blue led's like the ones you linked to, or elegant and sturdy like a silverstone or lian li
fry's has no lianli [editline]01:48PM[/editline] just use newegg...
