Okay, so I have a Rebel Xs right now.
it's phenomenal.
But im looking for a semi-pro or professional camera now.
I have plenty of people willing to pay for my pictures.
And I am gonna try to get out there.
It must have a full sensor.
and be under 2000$ total.
So maybe get a 1100$ camera and lenses ?
I don't really know.
There are so much choices so please help?
And no im not spoiled I worked hard for the damn money.
Nikon D80 and up would be good.
Also my friend has a Rebel Xs. Okay camera but has a crap layout and REALLY crap lenses.

Huh, crap lenses ?
lmao it takes almost all Canon lenses.
It comes with a 'crap' lenses...
That's what I meant. Canon kit lenses are badddd,
Canon EOS40D recommendation up in here.
That's what I meant. Canon kit lenses are badddd,
Yeah.
Nikons usually have the same kit lenses though with budget DSLR's too

Wat I still love my kit
Wat I still love my kit
Yeah mine has had its glory too.
I really want a better camera with a full crop body and a lovely fish-eye lens D;
Wat I still love my kit
I don't know about your kit, but the from what I've seen they're not very good. My friends is a great photographer, and I feel he gets the most out of his pictures, but he could do so much more with better lenses and a better camera.

I don't know if your kit (Perfumly) is the same as the Rebel Xs. I doubt that.

Oh and
Lenses>Camera
You gotta learn to work with what you have.

I have a 20D :buddy:
I would say get a refurbished Nikon D300 (Or even D300s, it's new) And get a Nikkor standard zoom 18-55mm DX lens with VR. Or you could get A Nikon D90 with that lens and another lens. The standard lens is very well rounded, but it lacks the MOST in zoom, so you could get a good telephoto lens with it.
I have the D90 and that lens and it works really well for me. I would personally go for the D90 and focus on good lenses rather than getting the D300.
What about the Canon 7D ?
Well from what i understand the 70D isn't a huge step up from the ones below it. Plus when it comes to mid-range SLRs i don't generally look toward canon. Canon has excellent point and shoots and even really good entry level SLRs, but as soon as you start getting into the mid-range area i find that Nikon is more worth the money. It seems to me like The Canons don't really get any better after a certain point. However, when you get to professional range SLRs you really can't go wrong with either company.
Uhmmm I meant 7D sorry

Sorry, I'm being completely serious. The rebel series is good and beats out the Nikon counterparts, but in my opinion when you get to roughly the D90 (give or take) the Nikons are a little more bang for your buck. I don't know if canon has changed their prices, but i remember canons not only being a little more expensive than their nikon counterparts, but also not performing quite up to par. I've also found that with my own experience there tends to be a slight noise and grain problem with certain canons. My dad had the same problem too until he went for higher end ones.
I have an EOS40D and the grain is nearly unnoticeable until you get to 3200 iso.
They don't make the 40D anymore do they?
I'd recommend a Canon. The 450DTKIS. Or if you can afford the extra, the 500DTKIS, for the improved image processing. They both have two sections on your little dial, happy snap mode, and then you get into the semi-auto (set the f-stop and it does the exposure time for you, and vice-versa) then full manual.
IMO, the noise issue is avoidable if you are mindful of your histogram. Stay outa both sides, you get no picture quality loss. The 500D majorly improves on noise reduction as well.

Not sure, it is one of the newest models though.
I think I'm confusing it with the Nikon D40.
EDIT: Yes, yes I am.

They no longer make D40s? What the fuck
The 500D looks nice.
But that kit thing with the two lenses is kind of blahh to me.
I would rather get just the 500D and then some 3rd party lenses but GOOD ones
and nope Nikon stopped making them. But you can still find the D40's in store

They went EOL, replaced by the D60.

That's a good idea. The lenses in the TKIS kit are where some of the extra money is spent. If you can nab your own lenses, I reckon it would turn out pretty well.

Maybe ill do that.
But I do adore the Canon 7D that just came out Dx
