Proud to be part of the 1/3 who doesn't throw money at a company that builds self-destructing overpriced products :v:
Breaking news! People who have a piece of technology are likely to have another! Worthless correlational study of the week. Big deal I have a PSP and an iPod, what the fuck does that even prove?

Yep my $99 iPhone 4 was so so expensive.

Over-priced? Maybe
Self destructing? rarely
I bought my iPod Touch off of a friend for £50. Apple ain't getting none of my cash!
To be honest though, as much as I dislike Apple, I do like my iPod touch. It's fun for playing quick little games on, and it of course does music and internet.

I'm speaking from my personal experience, as well as friends and family experience.
I've owned 3 apple products. An iPod Nano, an iPod Classic, and a second iPod Classic. All three cost much more than competitors which did generally the same exact thing.
My mother owned three separate iPod Touch's which, each over the course of a year or less, quickly broke down and decreased in performance in battery life dramatically without any heavy use or overcharging at all.
It may just be me having terrible, terrible luck, but Apple products have seriously let me down.
And before anyone throws the "Well why did you buy them?" at me, it's because I was giving them a chance. I heard good things about the products, and I wanted to try them for my self. I didn't judge based on the first bad product, I gave the company a second and third chance, and was let down all three times.

what do you expect if you buy something from apple, you're paying for the brand name more than anything

Not true in my experience.
I own both an iPhone and an Android tablet and Honeycomb is probably the most bugged software I've used in a while. The handling of Javascript is extremely shitty. Scrolling text slows any browser to almost a halt. Remember when Facepunch had snowflakes? The entire thing locked up instantly. Flash has memory leaks, it'll force my other apps to close when I'm watching a YouTube video on it and then the browser itself will crash.
I may have missed something but what is the point of a tablet if your internet browsing experience is beyond miserable?
In case any of you missed the point, any browser has these problems.

There are SO MANY users complaining about this but we haven't seen an update since the 3.1 and 3.2 update broke everything almost a year ago.
The tablet and the OS seems appealing at first but I'm very disappointed to find out that the more I use it on a daily basis, the more dissatisfied I am with my purchase.
It's an Asus Transformer 101, by the way.

Same as when I had my Android phone (which cost about $200 more than my iPhone did).
This just in: People who like to use handheld devices buy different types of handheld devices.

haha you honestly believe that?
how is that data plan goin for you
For some reason, my data plan is cheaper with an iPhone than any other smart phone. I would prefer an Android powered phone but the iPhone does what I need it to so it's fine.

If I interpret self-destructing as becoming outdated due to a new one being released every year, I agree wholeheartedly with this.
It's obvious Apple holds back features from their new iPhone and release it with the next one.

That's called Planned Obsolescence, not Self Destruction.
I got an iphone for a penny
