My desktop computer is in serious need of some upgrades. I want to replace:
-PSU
-Motherboard
-Processor
-RAM
My current graphics card is an NVIDIA GT 440, which I can probably keep, right?
As a bench test, let's say that I want it to be able to run Red Orchestra 2 smoothly with at least medium settings. I'd like to have 8 gb of RAM (ideally) and a modular PSU. I also want to use my computer for recording with decent quality, so a motherboard with solid audio input/output would be great.
Can you find the parts to do this for around 400 USD?
What is your current PSU.
Your GPU is decent but if you may be able to get something better in budget.
My PSU is rated at 320 watts if I remember correctly. I'm assuming it definitely needs to go if I'm going to upgrade anything.

That's way over done.
With his GPU that seems like it would be entirely useless.

Yes to micro ATX and a Sata HDD, I can't remember if the CD drive is Sata or not (not currently at my desktop).

Changed mobo to this then just to be safe, since it has a IDE port.
