the game does not currently meet our quality standards.
Knowing bethesda's past it would have to be the glitchiest, most bug ridden game ever created.

that's only if Bethesda is developing it.

They're basically hypocrites then. "Your game isn't good enough to be released this year oh btw have you guys seen our 7th major Skyrim patch? It fixes a whole lot of shit and adds things that should have been in there from the start!"
Good to see a publisher putting quality over a release date. EA and Activision should learn a lesson here.. but they won't.

Do hope (but doubt they will anyway) they're not going to use the Gamebryo engine again.
When will people learn that just because bethesda is publishing the game. It doesn't mean that bethesda game studios is working on it.
fuck yes

The last game that used Gamebryo was New Vegas.

Skyrim uses a renamed Gamebryo pretty much.

Still looks and works a heck of a lot better so I'm not complaining.

Umm, no. The UI of the engine is pretty much the same but the infrastructural aspect of the engine itself is vastly different. Same face, different organs. Which is an awesome thing so we don't have to learn a new engine.

Err it's not really
Creation Engine is gamebyro at it's roots, it just (by this point) has so many changes to various aspects of it that they could legally change the name to their own engine
Like how GoldSrc was basically a heavily modified quake engine. It still basically worked like quake visually and in the back end, except enough things were tweaked and modified with it to allow them to use it under a different name.
So it pretty much is still a modified gamebryo, and it shows/plays like one.

You're right i'm idiot and didn't read, they're publishing it aren't they. Silly me.
