I can almost safely say it'll come to PC. Metal Gear Rising and Metal Gear Solid 5 have both came to PC at this rate, don't see why he'd suddenly stop.

Peace walker on PC would be a dream come true.
Porting 4 would be hell.
Still, they had a lot of time now and all the assets (textures, models, sounds) are already done, it wouldn't be that bad
It'll probably just be the Legacy Collection on next-gen consoles (and probably PC) updated to include MGR. And I'm perfectly fine with that.
I really hope it comes to PC though, it's weird to only have MGS 1,2,5 and GZ on PC, with the first two being really old and barely working now

I don't want to hype myself up for games I've already played But it's hard not to
i heard somewhere that this is actually a limited release of a line of action figures
My guess is a ps3 disk set that is the legacy collection + 5 then 5 on disks on ps4 with codes for streaming legacy collection and that is probably it. porting things would be too much work while they're in crunch mode for tpp [editline]11th September 2014[/editline] unless its figures like meppers said. that actually makes a lot of sense
FP Peace Walker Coop group, calling it now. We can take turns rasing guards in the nuts.
Pretty sure they developed it with the PS3 exclusively in mind but the real problem is that it relies on so many gimmicks specific to the PS3 (or just consoles in general) they'd have to butcher it somewhat to get it on to other platforms. I can understand why people would want this stuff on the PC but let's face it--MGS was made for consoles and it's always gonna belong to the Playstation. It isn't like Halo's situation; There are a lot of features and gimmicks in these games that can't be reproduced properly on a PC without having to basically redo certain scenes or parts of the game. Not much of an issue for MG:R or MGS 5 since I'm pretty sure they were going for multi-plaform from the start, but for the earlier games... [editline]11th September 2014[/editline] I mean straight ports would work but they'd feel pretty cheap in places.
the only gimmick PS3 had was the built in motion sensor for the controller. Is it really used that often in MGS4?
I've always wanted to get into Metal Gear but never had the proper systems for it, so I'd be perfectly willing to buy this.
i heard somewhere that this is actually a limited release of a line of action figures
Oh please, God, no!
Porting 4 would be hell.
That isn't a problem exclusive to PC, No other console is like the Ps3.
I didn't even know MGS 1 was on PC.
I actually picked it up at a nearby thrift shop. It doesn't work on newer systems obviously but it does exist. I'd buy a complete pc collection though. I've wanted to play the whole series.
I actually picked it up at a nearby thrift shop. It doesn't work on newer systems obviously but it does exist.
There's actually a patch for the game to work on Windows 7.
Remake all the games on Fox Engine for every system. Kojima, please.
When this is revealed, I'm going to cum gallons of blood. It will burn so good.
I literally just started playing MGS (and soon MGS2) via emulation on my pc... now I'm wondering if I should just wait for a REAL pc port (remember that the PC ports back in the day were butchered a bit and lacked a fair few features and effects). I've always said, what's the point of giving us these new MGS games on PC if we don't even have 3 or 4 yet, it's silly. I don't own and probably never will own a console again (ex-N64 guy here) so I would love to play these on PC eventually. Hmmmmmm
God I wish they'd let PC people host MGO1/2 servers again.
the only gimmick PS3 had was the built in motion sensor for the controller. Is it really used that often in MGS4?
If I remember correctly, there was nothing that affected gameplay. The only thing shaking the controller did was remove your camo and jiggle Rosemary's tits when you were talking with her via codec. There are also a few scenes that reference the fact that the game is on PS3, but are irrelevant to the story. So the PC version wouldn't be missing anything important.
modding for all the mgs would be pretty cool and never going to happen
modding for all the mgs would be pretty cool and never going to happen
Oh you sausage. MGS PC modding would be fantastic.

I don't actually know of any games that came out for only the PC and PS3, with no 360 release. That's a pretty big red flag in terms of porting, yo.
The only game that would be difficult to port to PC would be mgsV all the other games were in the hd collection on xbox 360 which uses the same architecture as pc
MGS is a series I always wanted to experience but I never owned a console of any kind. Please come to PC.
Then it turns out it's just a bundle of the original Metal Gear 1 and 2.
