I thought about the Sims 4 and a logical step forward would be jobs where you can control your sim in an environment (like an office) and get a list of things to do (like the options you can choose from during work in Sims 3). Also building should be less restrictive. Get rid off the grid and be able to change a wall's height so you can create slopes and different sized fundaments. A dynamic grid like in Sim City would allow you to place down 90° or 45° corners if you want to. Translation, rotation and scale options could be added to the pattern tools. And for fucks sake, remove the social features please! No one on facebook gives a shit that your sim just ate a hot dog. I know it's optional but developing those features requires time and takes up a feature note in DLC descriptions which could be used for something less dumb.
Yeah, "forget" to put pets in as part of the original content.
Remove the damn challenge system or at least make them something more than just "collect X item" I remember being spammed by those messages all the time.
Wish #1: Get rid of the life stages, and have sims grow and age realistically
There's a Sims 3 expansion that added some interactive jobs. My sim's a ghost hunter so every night he gets people calling him to bust the ghosts in their homes. You actually drive there and go around the house sucking ghosts up with your ghost-vaccuum. Sometimes its poltergeists in the furniture, or spirits flying around. Its simple, but kinda neat. There's other jobs too, like being a firefighter or a detective. The ability to control the length of different stages is nice, so I can just skip over the boring-ass baby and toddler stages in a few days.

I'd be happy if they'd just stop using DLC's / expansion packs to farm money.
The biggest thing they need to get rid of are the rabbit holes. Bring back actual restaurants like in TS2. Let us go in stores.
I'd be happy if they'd just stop using DLC's / expansion packs to farm money.
not going to happen, EA is famous for that on their famous franchises like this one.
The biggest thing they need to get rid of are the rabbit holes. Bring back actual restaurants like in TS2. Let us go in stores.
THIS. I absolutely loved being able to have my own store in TS2.
I'm so excited to play The Sims 4 Pets, The Sims 4 Magic, The Sims 4 University, The Sims 4 Vacation and The Sims 4 Katy Perry's Sweetness.
Yeah, "forget" to put pets in as part of the original content.
I hate pets. Why am I now obligated to have them in my game?
How about including Pets at the start of the game instead of being a fucking expansion pack!
I really enjoyed Sims Bustin Out, despite being the only one not released on PC.
The biggest thing they need to get rid of are the rabbit holes.
Yes, if you control a single sim. But if you control a group of sims, you might not have the time to set up a command chain only to do some simple shopping. Therefore all specific actions on a community lot (shop for clothes, eat here, get a haircut, ...) should be selectable from the town view, just like a rabbit hole.
I really enjoyed Sims Bustin Out, despite being the only one not released on PC.
There were other Sims games not released on PC. Like The Urbz, MySims and games for GBA and NDS. The Urbz and the GBA versions of the Urbz and the Sims are pretty nice too, I think.

I liked to use the penthouse to swing golf balls into people's cars, windows, cats etc.
the urbz was pretty neat but i hated how [sp]the time machine you got you could only go to 2/5 locations without the guy getting scared or something[/sp]
I hate pets. Why am I now obligated to have them in my game?
Then don't create a family with pets? It's not hard.
I hate pets. Why am I now obligated to have them in my game?
i feel like i've just stepped into an argument about gay marriage
Direct control of sim plz

This is how likely it is that EA will change those three things.
Curvy walls maaaan
The thing they most need to change is the fault in their programming that makes the game collapse in on itself after a while. If you play with a single family for a few generations, you'll notice that the game is starting to get slower and slower and your sims will get stuck and people park their cars indefinitely and fill up the city with parked cars. That's what I want changed.
This is how likely it is that EA will change those three things.
so they'll have a poor release on a game, again, that results in a bunch of 15 year old 4chan and reddit users rating them "the worst company EVAARRR?" [editline]18th May 2013[/editline] but fo'real the only real thing i want in the sims 4 is more shit. sims 2 and 3 as base games were awesome, they just need more shit
I would love to see another story mode thrown in with the normal game. I remember the PS2 version of The Sims had that and it was pretty neat. You started off living with your Mom and you had to work your way up from the bottom.

They should add health issues to the game. I'd like to see a Sim go into a coma and need another Sim to take care of them. Or watch Sims in wheelchairs cry as they can't go up steps.
