Fox News may have gotten itself in hot water over some selective editing, much like they did a few months ago when they edited clips from a large protest to make it appear that a sparsely attended Tea Party rally looked quite...robust. This time, though, they're editing Obama's speeches to make them seem less successful.
President Obama recently gave the commencement speech at West Point. Given the voting record of the U.S. millitary, you can imagine that it wasn't the friendliest audience the President has faced, but he's the president, and a lot of the audience's commanding officer, so they afforded him a due amount of respect, golf clapping at the appropriate junctures.
At one point, Obama extolled the success of the Iraq operation, noting that we would be stopping our combat mission there shortly. He was met with some of the most robust applause from the cadets, if for no other reason then they are probably excited not to have to go to Iraq. You can see the speech from the White House website below. The section in question starts at 9:40, and the applause comes at 10:28. But, if you watched the speech on Fox's YouTube channel, you'll note that no applause can be heard. The troops, apparently, offer only stony silence when the president talks about what he sees as foreign policy accomplishments. Fox will probably say they were picking up some sort of direct feed of the speech that didn't pick up crowd noise, but as you listen, you can hear the sound from the video cut out entirely. There even seems to be a visible cut to the clip before he begins speaking again.
Fox proving themselves once again to be fair and balanced.
Obama is such a good speaker.
Not as good as Caesar, Alexander or Hitler though.
Also, yay Iraq.
lol Fox at it again
and they call themselves "the most trusted name in news."
I'm never one to support violence, but these whores need a good smack around the face and bringing back to reality.
Fucking Rupert Murdock.
Glaber's justification: "Cutting out the audience clapping saves video time."

Some poll (that I'm sure was taken out of context or had a shitty sample) did show them to be the most trusted news source.

if it was a legit poll then that is just sad
It's pretty obvious that Fox does shit like this. Whoever doesn't get the picture now deserves to watch that putrid piece of shit known as Fox News.
I HATE fucking Fox News
I was arguing with a Repulicunt at school today about how Fox is biased, he denied it and he said CNN was biased as shit and always bashed Bush and the republicans when Bush was in office then called me an idiot when I made remarks about Israel's oppression.
The irony.
How is this needed?

republicans are pretty hard to argue with because they're so dense
I said the same thing to a closet Republican and his only rebuttal was, "so is every news organization. so is CNN, etc." While that is true, Fox is without a doubt the most biased of them all. At least CNN has some integrity and professionalism.
watch the documentary called "Outfoxed" to see how Fox operates

Be glad you don't have the BBC in America. It's like the most biased organisation ever.
Everytime I see him at the library, his fatass is at foxnews.com He says all terrorists are from the Middle East (Typical Fox News user) and says Bush was better.
Also what's up with these closet republicans nowadays, I managed to hear one confess privately.
