looked like it updated
has anyone else had such absolutely pitiful service?
Should I just keep using USPS exclusively or something? Which carrier should I use instead of this?
UPS is so overpriced and slow, and I order so much stuff, I'm getting tired of this
Yeah you don't want to use USPS unless you want your package to come in looking like it went through a trash compactor. Hell you would be lucky to even get the package with them. Your best bet is Fedex if you want reliable shipping.
USPS is shit, idk why you would ever want to use it.
If you want faster shipping times, just get amazon prime or something.
oddly I've had great luck with USPS, even had very delicate headphones come from japan with no issues within 3 days, worst thing I've had was a slight delay and they were cool about it (maybe my local ones just a good one and I'm lucky, who knows)
fedex is so problem free that I forget they even exist
UPS I've not had many issues before this but they cost so much

tbh it's not even the speed, 1 week is ok, it's that it's been delayed 2 times now and I'm starting to wonder if it's going to show up at my door with ducktape covering a rebar hole through it
I wasn't aware you could could choose which service you could ship with amazon...
I work with Fedex Express, delays happen. All the planes, trucks and machinery used on a daily basis is mind boggling and malfunctions (like a train derailment) are bound to happen at some point. You're just one of the unlucky ones. These things can delay deliveries quite a bit. If the package is damaged beyond the usual wear and tear, don't open it. Call up ups and file a claim.
oh no, a train derailed, causing thousands in damage.
poor you.
It's still tax season. So most mail and packaging across the board is taking it's dandy time to get places.

Isn't the "train derailment" error UPS uses just a general statement for errors concerning that method of transport? Not to say a literal derailment couldn't happen.

Looks like we have a UPS insider here, can you give us some more exclusive info about what happened?

train derailment doesn't mean literal derailment. locomotives break WAY more than you could imagine actually, my father repairs the cast iron engines some times. A piston can go loose and the train can end up continuing to move for up to 8 hours with a bad engine
and yes, if my stuff was on fire, poor me, that's 344$ that UPS isn't going to replace, whats your point? (it wasn't however so whatever)

seems like it
I read a bunch of stuff when I saw it, sounds like its just a general "Truck failed, track closed, we forgot it on the kitchen counter" type of thing

actually I don't think you can chose, unless you select a different seller
no doubt though, shit just breaks. Nothing you can really do.
delays aren't that bad really, I don't mind waiting, though, not sure I like a double delay like that
I know who picked it up in sunnyvale
