And don't forget the lovely ring girls ----------------COPY PASTE------------------------------------------------------ The „bad guys” of world’s major hockey leagues will meet in the boxing ring in Arena Riga on June 2 – the first international hockey boxing championship „ICEBOX 2011” In June 2, 2011 at 19:00 the 1st International hockey boxing championship „ICEBOX 2011” will take place in Arena Riga. Such an event will be the first in the history of professional ice hockey and „bad boys” from world’s major hockey leagues will meet to find out the winner of the „ICEBOX 2011” cup. It is no secret that fights on ice have become an integral part of hockey: polls show, that cca 30% of spectators visit NHL games solely to see them. Popularity of most visible bullies, such as Donald Brashear, Derek Boogaard, Chris Simon and Raitis Ivanans, is close to that of their team leaders on both coasts of the ocean. Tough guys, the enforcers differ in build – it is not necessary the biggest one to win, yet in Arena Riga, during the „ICEBOX 2011” championship, the hockey players will have to adapt a slightly different role – they will fit boxing gloves to face each other in the ring. For the first time in the history of professional ice hockey will the best tough guys find out, which is the toughest of them in a fight that follows all principles and rules of gentlemen. The fights of the championship will be supplemented with a lighting and video show; popular performers will help entertaining the audience. „The first „ICEBOX” event will take part in Latvia, however this event has already gained publicity and we plan on organizing the finals of the 2012 championship in the US or Russia,” says the Olafs Saulriets, head of the championship. Champion of „ICEBOX 2011” will be determined in several rounds with a drop-out method. Pairs of hockey players who will face each other will be drawn in a raffle at the beginning of the championship, one from each pair will advance to the next round. Each fight will consist of 3 rounds, each round will last for 2 minutes. Internationally licensed boxing referees will be involved. The first International „ICEBOX” championship will feature 8 participants – well known enforcers from NHL, KHL and major European leagues. Considering the ongoing regular seasons and playoffs, the names of the participants will be announced in April and May, however several first-class hockey stars have expressed their interest. A jury of honour will consist of popular or notorious figures of the professional sports scene, as well as renowned fighters. Persons under 16 years of age will not be admitted. Where can I put my money down on George Parros?
Where can I put my money down on George Parros?
Your local illegal backdoor gambling centers.
For a moment I read the title as 'Foxy Boxing' :saddowns:
This is interesting. Do they wear what they'd normally wear in hockey with a stick or do they skate around in trunks and boxing gloves?
For a moment I read the title as 'Foxy Boxing' :saddowns:
Were will be girls fighting also... :q: [editline]23rd May 2011[/editline]
This is interesting. This sounds hilarious and awesome at the same time. Too bad it's at "Arena Riga", which is apparently in Latvia.
For a moment I read the title as 'Foxy Boxing' :saddowns:
Hey, you were half right. http://www.ice-box.eu/en/girls
I call it, BOXER HOCKEY!
Da mystery of hockey boxin
Ah yes. Locker boxing. We do it all the time after hockey practice.
This is interesting. Do they wear what they'd normally wear in hockey with a stick or do they skate around in trunks and boxing gloves?
In a 'normal' locker box, they wear gloves and an helmet. So that's what I assume they wear. Actually, I think it is real hockey players boxing. So it'd be non-hockey gloves and helmets.
This is quite possibly the best idea ever
Best part of the NHL games is this. [editline]23rd May 2011[/editline] As in EA's NHL Games.
inb4 Russia wins [editline]23rd May 2011[/editline] and kills everyone
Putin will probably come in and destroy everyone because he's just a pure badass.

Doesn't hold a candle to Chess-Boxing.
I went to a fight and a hockey game broke out
Are there nudes of the girls?
ICE BOX
So, it's basically ex-professional hockey players beating the shit out of each other? Sounds good to me.
Kristine thinks that guys are really jealous these days and they have even fought for her. She has never been connected to boxing before and for now she finds hockey more interesting. She doesn't want to be like someone else and if she had a superpower that would be spitting flames. She's looking forwards to visiting Ibiza one day but says her life is crazy enough even without it.
It seriously sounds like a child wrote this. http://www.ice-box.eu/en/girls

Great players. Actually, looking at the fighter profiles, I'm not surprised that those players would stoop this low. As an actual hockey fan, this sounds pretty fucking dumb.
Honestly, I think this sport is dumb, dangerous and lethal.
Putin will probably come in and destroy everyone because he's just a pure badass.
No he isn't.
Putin will probably come in and destroy everyone because he's just a pure badass.
No, he'll just execute all of the media outlets at the show. The rest get autographs. Anyvey, this idea is brilliant.
