As the title suggests, after I installed a HD radeon 4650, it asked me to install a driver for ATI High Definition Audio Bus. I did, and today when i turn on my computer, no sound comes out.
I tried deleting that driver, restarted but noting happened.
I'm not sure what to do now, dose anyone have a clue?
Running windows XP.
(Before anyone tries to be a smartass, everything is plugged in, the speakers are not muted, and they work)
Sounds like a virus.
Try deleting the audio driver again, and double checking that you've downloaded the right driver for your sound card.
break your computers neck
every time i delete it and restart the "ATI HD rear audio output" reinstalls itself.
Under Dxdiag it says its my default card, how can i disable that?
Ok, I disabled the computers ATI Hd Rear audio output, and poked around inside my computer... I don't have a sound card. So now I'm confused as to why my old graphics card never had a problem with noise, yet this new one doesn't allow me to have any.
Am i going to have to get a new sound card, or new speakers?
There are Audio drivers on your Motherboard Driver CD.
You know if I can get those form the internet?
I'll look.
