After clearing my cookies on Chrome yesterday, I have been experiencing problems with various audio and video players. Youtube works fine, but other players don't function and the message "Couldn't load plug-in." appears in their place.

I didn't download or install anything before this happened, I just clear my history and then it stopped working. I have reinstalled Chrome but that didn't help. Any idea what's causing this?
Google probably sent out a bad update yesterday that broke pepper flash since I had that happen to me last night, but it seems to be fine now. Try to force chrome to update via the "About Google Chrome" option on the dropdown menu. For reference I'm using "Version 41.0.2272.101 m (64-bit)"

I am using that exact same version right now. I can't update to a newer version.
That's really strange, seeing how I had that exact issue last night, I switched over to a Linux partition for the night. When I switched back to windows this morning all was fine again so I figured chrome just updated. Maybe just try a restart? Not really sure.

I also tried to clear my cookies to reproduce, but still everything is fine.
I restarted my computer and it fixed itself. I had previously turned off my computer and then turned it back on, but that didn't work. Only an actual restart worked. Pretty strange.
