• How do I block flash ads?

These are getting fucking annoying: Some of them are making sounds when you accidentally scroll your mouse over them (I usually scroll down pages using the middle mouse button). I am using adblock plus but it doesn't seem to cover flash ads, or am I just doing it wrong?
You're doing it wrong if AdBlock Plus don't get rid of them Try reinstalling it or resubscribing
I just re-installed it now to see if that was it but noes: Some ads can be blocked but some wont.
does it got a block button on the top right corner of the ad?
Look around the ad. It will have a clear thing that says "Block" [editline]12:32AM[/editline] Look around the ad. It will have a clear thing that says "Block"
I use flashblock personally. Flash ads are bastards, but I think a blanket block on all ads (Adblock) and continuing to use a site is a bastards move also.
noscript is quite handy for this too
Just resubscribe.
Flash ads are bastards, but I think a blanket block on all ads (Adblock) and continuing to use a site is a bastards move also.
maybe they should get rid of the shitty ads then.
Woah, your ABP might be björked.
Wat? My ABP is björk'd? Is it serious? Wait.. What you mean björked?
add YARIP to firefox. then when its installed, you will see a triangle with a line thru it in your status bar. click on it, and click what you want to block, then click the triangle again.
Or do Adblock > Show Blockable Items... and choose what you want to block.
