I'm a video game nerd, so this is my tribute to your track, in true video game parody style. I hope you like it. So what's going on here? Well, the year is 1990. You've finally gotten a Genesis (or a Mega Drive, I suppose) from the toy store and your Nintendo has begun to collect a fair bit of dust. If it could talk (or sing) to you, what would it be saying right now?
If anyone knows anything about Inverse Phase at all, this is probably the song that they found him through. It's certainly the one that made me stop and notice. These aren't some simple, awful quality remixes of well-known songs; you can tell that time was spent making each one sound as good as it can within the limitations he places upon himself. I got tired of a certain other user blocking comments and mesages from me merely asking for credit, so I figured it was time to do my own video with something more to offer than his. I hope you like it. This is straight-up NES, folks. No GXSCC or MIDI was involved in the making of this song. Two square waves, one triangle wave, whitenoise, DPCM. Sorry about the flickery video.
These aren't some simple, awful quality remixes of well-known songs; you can tell that time was spent making each one sound as good as it can within the limitations he places upon himself. "yeah I listen to that song but in an 8bit nes remix you probably never heard it"
This is some well made 8-bit music. I'm so sick of people putting together random bleeps and calling it 8-bit, it pisses me off.
These are pretty decent chiptune covers, if maybe a little basic (particularly Propane NESmares) IMO.
Propane NESmares isn't one of my favorites. Take a minute and go to the bandcamp site and listen to a few more. He's got more than two songs done, after all.
