Taking a quick look at the game's classification listing, you should note the "RC" status. This means that the title was "refused classification". A similar fate recently fell upon Silent Hill for that region. However, a title such as Gears of War 2 was not denied classification. While games like GoW2 feature a ton of violence and gore, the fact that not all of it takes place against humans may be the key difference here. Perhaps it's time for Australia to re-examine their stance on not including an 18+ rating for video games. </iframe> Link To Original Article
Australia following germany?
What the fuck. I don't even live in Australia but still what the fuck.
Why must things like this be censored? I mean surely a person can decide for themselves if they're mature enough to play a gory game, the government isn't my bloody mother.
I don't get this. Australia hasn't had a particularly violent history, i can understand germany to a degree, but why australia?
What the fuck.
So... feel like you have posted enough news now cs-nation?
ffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck Australian censor laws...

Australia was a sickly fucked country that raped and killed their own people. There's documentaries on how screwed up some people are. It's probably why they're banning stuff. They even banned the documentaries because they didn't want people knowing. There was a show about some drug dealer and a corrupt police chief based in Australia; that was banned too. So Australia seems to be banning anything like that.
raped and killed
never happened.
There was a show about some drug dealer and a corrupt police chief based in Australia
That was a reality-drama, it got banned because it was based entirely of real events and interfered with the australian legal system. Edit: Still, what the fuck? Rudd isn't going to be elected soon. Seriously, he's trying to censor the internet like china by next year. Hopefully it's not going to happen.
Damnit, why does this always happen. I demand R18+ rating for games. EDIT: I agree with you rublux.
This has nothing to do with Rudd, this has to do with the moron Attorney General from South Australia, he feels the need to force his opinions on what games we can play on us.

That was always such great fun.
I think it's because the only enemy you're fighting is Man.
I live in australia and on behalf of the general populace of my country, you're talking bullshit there laddy.
Really? Leonard John Frasier, John Ernest Cribb, etc. I can't remember which ones I watched. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Crime_Investigation_Australia_(TV_series) I remember they banned that one about I think it was called Blue Murder or something like that. That's the one with the drug dealer guy and the corrupt cop. Edit: I know other countries have their violent crap but it doesn't mean you have to ban stuff like that. Edit: Also K Rudd can't do much about this because he's the prime minister, not apart of Australia's media rating group. He can tell them to change a few things but that's up to him.
3 or 4 people don't constitute the entire population.

It would be much better if they changed it to a majority opinion of the AG's, instead of requiring an unanimous decision. Even if you're got one backwards moron holding out, you can still get changes passed.

Oh ya Rusty. Weren't you going to get Project Origin?
FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU-
Almost as backward as their gun laws.
I remember back when the first Team Fortress 2 trailer was released around 3-4 years ago, it said that it was already banned from Australia. A long time later, a lot has changed. If it doesn't get classified the 2nd time, then it looks like the Dev's are going to have to change most of the content to make it suitable.
This is all because we don't have an R rating on games.
Almost as backward as their gun laws.
Nice try, except our gun laws work. Might want to take something from that, America.
Nice try, except our gun laws work. Might want to take something from that, America.
Maybe you both should stop acting like general country biased jerks who know very little about each respective country in general and get all the information they need from various forms of biased media.
Nice try, except our gun laws work. Might want to take something from that, America.
They work because they're so ridiculous. I could save everyone from being murdered if I locked everyone except for myself in a cage. I mostly hate the laws related to Paintball and Airsoft. I hate it that Paintball markers are classed as firearms... It's a great sport and honestly there are so fewer injuries involved than in Football... What's up? Anyway enough with the rant isn't FEAR 2 the version no one wanted anyway? I thought we were all buying Project Origin or whatever it's called. The one by the original developers.
I might not live there, But this is fucking DUMB! The Australia rating system is worse than GERMANY! No shit, It is.
