Neat.
Nice, shame Steam only. I'm guessing they're collecting data for Borderlands 2
Bit late to start collecting user data for Borderlands now, this would have been ideal on release or soon after.
Bit late to start collecting user data for Borderlands now, this would have been ideal on release or soon after.
They'll probably do that with Borderlands 2. It's one of those ideas you come up right there and then and it's like "SHIT! Why didn't we do this sooner/from the start of?".
Bit late to start collecting user data for Borderlands now, this would have been ideal on release or soon after.
Perhaps they are testing with the current Borderlands players and then going to work on it for B2
im already halfway through the second playthrough, p late gearbox
Perhaps they are testing with the current Borderlands players and then going to work on it for B2
They're testing it on B1 to make sure it'll work with B2. Basically like a beta test for the system.
A little late, but still a great idea.
gearbox should make more good repeaters machine pistols and revolvers for b2 those own
they should be finding a way to block modded weapons
so they'll be making the hunter class not entirely useless for BL2
To those saying this is too late, that's why they held the bloody steam stale. They want everybody to get in on this to gather data.
Save games now sync with Steam Cloud for remote backup.
I really could've used that earlier. :(
they should be finding a way to block modded weapons
They already did it?
Today, we at Gearbox Software are pleased - nay, thrilled - to unveil a new project that will, in ascending order of importance: - Jump-start human evolution into its next phase, transforming mankind into intangible beings of pure consciousness - Cure all known diseases - Allow us to collect player stats from our games and stuff What is this miraculous invention called, you ask? When coming up with a name for this project, we knew it needed to be something unique. Something that would convey the progressive, methodical nature of the project itself. Something simple, but memorable. Something obvious, but unique. Something that would identify this project as the simple, yet impactful game-changer that it is. But all that sounded really hard, so we just collectively shrugged our shoulders and named it Gearbox Labs. "But," you ask, hand raised in the air, teeth gritted with excited impatience, arm straining toward the ceiling as you desperately attempt to grab our attention, "how do I get involved with this Gearbox Labs thing?" Simple! If you have a copy of Borderlands on Steam, you can sign up as a Gearbox Labs volunteer. Then, all you've gotta do is play Borderlands - through your play, we'll be able to harvest data about pretty much anything in the game. Which missions did you do? Which didn't you do? Where did you die the most, and how? Want to see how you're doing? Make sure to check the leaderboard. You'll be like a real, live scientist under Gearbox's employ, except instead of being paid thousands of dollars to uncover the mysteries of the universe, you'll be not-paid millions of dollars to help us improve our future games! We'll even send you a labcoat!* *We won't send you a labcoat.
Sometimes I really love Gearbox. [editline]9th September 2011[/editline]
so they'll be making the hunter class not entirely useless for BL2
Mordecai wasn't useless at all, probably my favourite of the four.
mordecai owns invest in gunslinger skills and get a gunslinger mod and hes a fucking grim reaper with any pistol
Don't be dissing Mordecai, he's the shit.
so they'll be making the hunter class not entirely useless for BL2
No that's just you being a big poopyhead.
Moredecai.
Moredickai.
Where's the patch that makes this game good? Oh right, its called Borderlands 2 and it costs $50.
Haven't you proclaimed, in every thread about BL, how bad it is, killz? How long have you played it? Did you try to play it with friends? Did you give it a second chance? Really, it's not a bad game.

Really, it's not a bad game.
Yeah, especially when you get to the DLC after completing the monotonous campaign.
NOW they synch savegames. I lost a level 63 in a formatting.
Borderlands 2 needs to make single player fun
Borderlands 2 needs to make single player fun
It's a game you're supposed to play with friends, not be a loner.
so guess borderlands 2 will be steamworks
Anybody else's game crashing as soon as they load a save?
Haven't you proclaimed, in every thread about BL, how bad it is, killz?
Yes.
How long have you played it?
Enough.
Did you try to play it with friends?
Yes.
Did you give it a second chance?
5 actually.
Really, it's not a bad game.
Yes it is. No level design, crap story that doesn't get resolved, boring, tedious and repetitious.
