Alright, after driving with my 97' Jeep Wranglers stock speakers for a year I am looking to upgrade. Thinking about the Kicker 18''. Any thoughts or any suggestions for any other subs?
I have Riesen
do not buy Riesen
it sucks
:geno:
Why do they suck?
They do play powerful bass but not deep
when the bass gets too deep for it, it will make a horrible sound as if it was about to blow up :byodood:
Noted. I was looking at kickers anyways.
If you know anything about sound you probably won't need to hear this.
Are you sure you want a sub as big as 18"?
I much prefer the sounds of a 12" or less... I feel the bass is 'tighter'.. If you get that.
Just make sure you know what you want from your sub.
18" is fucking huge. I have 2 x 12" and they're kinda big :geno:
*Can't read*
Well, how big is the room?
I've got these and they sound great. The sub is a beast and sounds really good. You can hook up better quality speakers to it, and its got a simulated surround sound if you don't have a surround sound output.
The subs are for his car.
enjoy having no space whatsoever in your wrangler with an 18" sub
all you need is a decent amp around 1000 watts (try to find one that's actually close to 1000 in RMS) some decent woofers and a 10" sub will do fine if you install it right
vibe space are apparently some of the best
Recently I found out my cousin is selling some Rockford Fosgate P2 Punches. They come with a box and amp and stuff. Probably just going to get those.
Yeah, pretty hard to beat RF.
They'll sound a lot better than the 18" you wanted... Well I think so anyway.
