That's really impressive. I'd love to play Smash 4 on my PC when it's about Dolphin levels of compatibility.
This is making some big headway very early on in a console generation.
I wonder what the final outcome of this will be, I could see piracy legitimately hurting Nintendo if this can come out stable within another year. I mean, why buy a Wii U ever.
Emulation is actually such a difficult thing to accomplish in a stable way, it's really impressive honestly
That's far, far further along into commercial games and accuracy than the major PS3 emulator, if I remember right. Comparable to the amount of progress the 360 emulator's made in the past few months.

Even in another year a PC that can emulate it will cost over 1000$. Just the i7-4790k the guy used is the price of the whole console.

I kinda mean if they get much better at optimization in a year. Emulators can change drastically in just a year. I couldnt even run Xenoblade Chronicals at 5 fps on dolphin about a year ago. Newest dolphin it runs flawless on higher settings on the exact same old ass computer. The fact that seemed to be running at real time and not sped up like the 3DS emulator videos is pretty impressive already that its runs good.
Nintedos the only company I think would be hurt pretty hard by an early emulator in the there own console generation because nearly all of Nintendo games are exclusives and the type of games you cannot find on other consoles.
Project M was already a serious threat to Nintendo and Smash in the competitive scene, why do you think Nintendo had to buy out every major fighting game tourney to prevent P:M from being allowed? That was 1 mod on an emulator for a game older than Smash 4.

Well Nintendo has been sticking to the powerpc architecture and amd graphics since the gamecube. Wiiu can still play gamecube (with softmod) and wii games natively. Shouldnt be a whole lot to figure out on top of what dolphin already did.

360 is confusing as fuck, and very little reason to emulate for exclusives vs others.
