• Swapping power buttons.

I am repairing a friends computer for him. The power button on the case does not work. I can press it in and it wont pop back out. I found another power button from another computer that i don't use anymore and figured i could swap it out. I don't have any soldering tools or anything. Could i just twist them up and put some electrical tape around them? Pic of 2 buttons below. You wouldn't need to solder or tape anything. Just unplug the old button from the motherboard and plug the new one in it's spot. Edit: All the power switches are is a jumper with a momentary switch attached. Edit: Speaking of which, I have an older computer that I turn on by placing a jumper on the power pins. Shit's ghetto as hell, but I rarely have to turn it on anyway.

It doesn't get more ghetto. btw case is just a skeleton of an old mATX case from the 90s, so shit's not too hard to do.
