Also, I would recommend the NVidia one, personally.
I vote computer one, with that res on computer 2 SLI won't give that much benefit. I run games with one 512mb 4870 with dual monitors (1920x1080 and 1920x1200) and if I had another 4870 it would be sweet, my 4870 could max out any game at 1080p with one monitor but with two I have to tone things down.
for the love of
do not get alienware

the m11x is pretty good
I would go with the first one just for the screen size
Don't even think about getting Alienware, it BSOD's, GPU fries, and it looks butt ugly.
Get an ASUS G73 if you're going for a serious gaming laptop.
It's about the same price, and it's better and you will have a long lasting computer.
I mean, throwing that much money after a laptop and it BSOD's and fries I bet you would be pretty fucking pissed.
Would go for the G73JH, but that's just me.
If you absolutely INSIST on getting failienware, go for the 2x 4870.
And for the love of god, it's WHICH, not WITCH.
Which:
Of what sort or kind; what; what a; who.
A interrogative pronoun, used both substantively and adjectively, and in direct and indirect questions, to ask for, or refer to, an individual person or thing among several of a class; as, which man is it? which woman was it? which is the house? he asked which route he should take; which is best, to live or to die?

The mobility radeon 4870 is a bit downclocked version of radeon 4870, it should be around as good as a desktop 4850. The GTX260M is based on the g92 core (same as 9800gt). The radeon should be a lot better, and you also get a higher res screen with the first laptop.
don't care about the witch thing...

Ok, I'll check them out...
Yeah, never get Alienware, unless you want to screw yourself over.
I would reccomend the GTX, just as nVidia is more reliable, well i think so.
But either of them are great cards, and will do your tasks well.
-Murderface.

We care.
If you don't, get the fuck out.
Also my experience with alienware is not the best, so I'd say don't buy one.
Nvidia, ATI leaks :(

Don't fucking shit this thread up with your fanboy crap.
The 4870 has marginally better performance than the 260, but the 260 performs better in a few games and has PhysX

ATI leaks on Laptops. Nvidia are much better for mobile graphics.
Its kind of a proven fact.
Oh, he's talking about laptops. Right. Don't get either, then. Gaming laptops in general fucking blow.

What do you mean, leaks?
Buy a fucking desktop, not a gaming laptop and especially not from alienware. My neighbor has got this laptop with the GTX and I've got the one with Radeon. There isn't much of a difference, just that the Nvidia version has a lower resolution screen. If you really want to have this laptop, I recommend the ATI version because it has a higher resolution and it's more energy efficient. But there is a bad thing about this laptops-they both got fried in a mater of weeks!!!!!!
