I am having trouble finding a laptop price around that range, for the most gaming output. I have found only 1 laptop that interests me, though, tell me if I am wrong.

Please let me know if you can find a better deal for a gaming laptop!
I personally prefer this one over the G73SW, mainly because you have 2x500GB in RAID (0 or 1).
You can also add in some even better thermal compound if you choose.

Also, you can get another one with similar specs though:

But you can get an i7-2720QM for only $160 more which is a total of a bit more than $1500, but remember to include an OS if you decide to get the Sager. However, you can only get up to 750GB HDD and starts off with 4GB RAM (not that more RAM matters that much).
However, if you really want, the G73SW is a solid pick, but it is massive (my G53JW is pretty much 17" size) and the MSI GT680 has better cooling.
1500$ and your having a hard time finding a laptop you gota be living in Canada
As much as I totally would want an ultra-powerful gaming laptop myself if I had the money, I still understand that at the end of the day there's little need for one even if I traveled a lot. You would barely be able to keep that beast running for more than an hour doing basic tasks while running on the battery, let alone gaming. Plus the heat that thing would generate. It would also double as a stove when you flip it upside-down.
If you want a gaming machine, invest in a good gaming desktop.
