I should be able to order a new computer within the next week or so, and I need it to be awesome. Below is a list compiled by my friends. I know little about computer hardware despite spending a lot of time on computers because I've never had money for a new one until now.
Please take a look. Suggestions are appreciated.
My budget: $2,000 USD, and I live in Virginia, USA.
Games: Team Fortress 2, Fallout 3, Oblivion, Skyrim, Minecraft, and possibly new games that I haven't even heard of yet.
Programs: Blender 3D, Steam, VLC/Winamp, Digsby, Photoshop, few other random ones. I tend to run a lot of programs at the same time when creating things.
I plan on doing a lot of gaming and 3D modeling and animation. I'm told that Blender works best with Nvidia cards, so it must be one of those.
The SSD will be for the OS and other regularly used programs.

Is Win7Pro mandatory? Also, you should get a 560Ti instead of the 560. It's that much more worth it. Also, anybody else feel like the RAM is... meh?
[editline]16th October 2011[/editline]
Also, nVidia Quadro series are made for professional graphics and modelling.
Yeah, I suggested Win7 Home Premium since there are really no features that he'd need with pro, in my opinion.
I'd switch the RAM to this
And I'd still suggest the Antec case I posted earlier.
Thanks!
Would an i7 be worth it over an i5?
No. In gaming they perform the same.

Also, Shadaez, if you're going to disagree with my post can you please explain why? I've always heard Ripjaw is some of the most recommended RAM, especially over Kingston. Unless you were talking about the case, but I have a friend with one and he's never had any issues. Mainly, the case is recommended because it has a dedicated slot for SSDs and a lot of fans.

G.Skill is fine, but $25 for 4GB is too much, http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231426
Ah, wow I didn't think to check that. I'm fairly new too, actually, thanks.
Thank you, Shadaez! Updated the list with that RAM and a few other things.
UGH, that RAM went out of stock the day I was going to buy it.... unless it did long before but I didn't notice till now.
