• Connecting to a VPN

I signed up for a free VPN service (packetix.net) and I downloaded their program. It connects fine, and added a network in Adapters. I'm running Windows 7 x64. How do I get Firefox/Other programs to connect through this VPN?
The generally should automatically use this device. At least, it's for me and my VPN-Client I use at university. Try finding your IP (Google: what is my ip) with your browser with VPN on and off. If it is different, your now in the VPN tunnel.

Windows should automatically direct all traffic through the VPN if you are connected to it. Did you try to make a connection through the default Windows connection manager?
I tried, but it said it couldn't connect. It failed at WAN Miniport. I think it's because PacketiX uses something called a Virtual Hub, which Windows doesn't have an option for.
Did you close your browser during this "What is my IP session"? I remember, when I start my browser at my university I just see the default page which tells me to login. But even after I did that, I see this page until I restarted the browser. Isn't there any helpfile for this program to use?
