And bacon strips, and bacon strips, and bacon strips!
YouTube phenom Epic Meal Time has signed with some major Hollywood talent reps and is shopping its own extreme cooking TV show to several interested networks.
For those who haven’t yet stumbled upon their channel, Harley Morenstein, Sterling Toth, and friends, along with producing partner Evan Rimer, create culinary masterpieces of heart-stopping high-caloric insanity. Then eat them. (Video below).
The Canadian outfit has clocked more than 20 million page views and were snatched up by The Gersh Agency and Brillstein Entertainment Partners.
Check out this one sample from Thanksgiving below, and see their channel for more. An Epic Meal Time series must be more fun than watching Bobby Flay, right?
Vegetarians, brace yourselves (and you might want to dial up the video quality using the drop-down tab marked “240p” so you can clearly view the meaty goodness):
i'll fucking kill you
this is awesome
No matter how much I hate cooking shows, I'd be lying to say I wouldn't watch it at least once.
I hope they don't like butcher it to hell, and attempt to make it even more family friendly than just the censors. I'm wondering what channel it would run on, though. I doubt they would allow it on Food Network. Also, if they like don't let them cook with booze, then fuck it.
yes
Finally! A reason to still watch Tv.
I haven't seen this before.. I hope it's cool. Hopefully I'll get the channel it's on too.
It would be a pretty short show.
Holy shit, that's awesome. I'm definitely going to watch this.
Oh my god yes
*Looks at my cereal* Fucking needs more bacon.

Not if they actually showed them making it/gave instructions instead of just short clips of what they're adding.
I'm just worried that this might spoil it. Let's hope not.

Regular ordinary Swedish meal time is better.

They'll probably die of a ruptured artery or burst stomach before they run out of ideas

I disagree. Those guys just make a mess of everything.
Dear god yes. I would love this.
That is just amazing!
I want to shake their hands for making it that far. That is just amazing, all I can say really.

I'm sure the money they will be making can buy them all the new organs they will ever need.
Can't see it as a tv show, but we'll see how it goes

They'd totally allow it on food network. They don't censor swearing on the food network, and sometimes have some pretty racy shit on there.

Now if it was also speed cooking.
PETA won't be very happy.
this is going to be good.
Next time... We eat Hollywood!!
I could see 15 minute episodes working. Couldn't see 30 though.
I just had a great idea for their next episode: The stew to end all stews.
Holy shit when and what channel?
The way the guy talks during the video is more interesting than the food itself.
"And we drizzed all over it."
in other news obesity rates skyrocket
Excellent they'll be much easier to ignore.
