I haven't tried the new update just yet, but the beta I was running just 2 days ago was saving fins perfectly fine. Are you sure about this? Have you even opened gmod yet?
Whether due to the workshop being cleaned out for the new update or what, porting over all the various workshop addon files from your beta folder does -not- seem to work. However, seems if you change the info.txt to addon.txt for classic addon folders, that works (got a simple Lean addon working just fine). I copy-pasted all of my beta folders into the updated old folder after cleaning the latter out last night, but things like cfgs or so forth carried over from 12 rather than the copy-paste.

What the fuck are you talking about? There's loads of dupes with custom shit in them, if you don't have what it needs it either spawns the usual red error signs or nothing at all.
Will Left 4 Dead 2/Portal 2/CS:GO mounting be added in the future? Iirc the engine was restricting you before, but that should be fixed now right?
Yeah, it was causing problems since they moved to SteamPipe - but I will bring them back when I have time

this is gm12's duplicator- but nothing has changed for the duplicator in gm13. That tank possesses parenting, wire, nocollide-alls (which is actually a default gmod thing), fin, visual clip and ACF.
as you can see, it fails miserably.

I'd say blame the devs for not sticking to gmod coding standards, but I don't know enough about gmod to make that call.

It's not up to me to go in the duplicator and code special cases for all the entities. It's up to the individual entities to use the systems that are in place to make themselves compatible with the duplicator.
...why should we have to conform to an outdated, poorly made duplicator? I see your point, but doesn't it frustrate you the slightest that everyone knows/thinks your duplicator is crap? You've got to remember that third party addons are the selling point of gmod- without them, gmod wouldn't have gotten anywhere. Posing ragdolls and inflating NPCs only goes so far.
You don't have to - it just means that your entities won't work in duplications.

", Not sure how that was missed trough the beta.
You're right, you would think that spelling mistakes in the developer console would have been our #1 priority during the beta
I know bugs are probably priority right now, but may I make the suggestion of having an option on any tools where key selection is used, where the function of the key press will only activate if you're in a vehicle/seat. Or even better, let the player select a certain seat where the keys would work.
It'd allow for players to use W/S/A/D and such without moving around, and if you allow the player to select a certain vehicle, you could even do neat things like setting up dedicated controls for the vehicle that so that would it work for any player in it.
