• Steam problems.

So I recently switched to a new HDD and I'm getting all the shit off my old HDD using a docking station. I got all my files and programs, but when I installed steam, and merged my steam apps folders, stuff went wrong. The install goes fine. I merge SteamApps together on my new HDD, then I go into Steam. Steam wouldn't let me play my games. So I tried to restart Steam. I exited Steam and tried to open it up. The box pops up telling me it's connecting to my Steam account, but once that disappears, nothing else happens. Sometimes it shows up in my processes in task manager, but most of the time it doesn't. I've merged SteamApps folders before and it has worked each time until now. Thanks in advance.
Close steam, delete ClientRegistry.blob.
That kinda worked. I deleted it then started Steam and it updated. Then once I logged in, I saw the Steam icon in my tray. I right-clicked on it and hit "Games." Then it shut off.
