Ok? Don't be a tool in before "rap is crap" *listens to people screaming*
Hip hop is cool! I thought it started in the Bronx! I hate Joe Budden though. He sounds like an asthmatic donkey having a seizure when he raps. And he's a douche.

Juggalo homies 4 life! [editline]11:18PM[/editline] but seriously, I like a lot of hip hop, it's not my favorite genre but i still know whats up. my favorite hip album album is The Bake Sale by the cool kids
Honestly, I'm against most modern day "Hip-Hop". It's ruining the genre. Soulja Boy is more like pop to me... ...and although Kanye West sounds good, he sneaks in a
Hey young world, I'm the new Slick Rick
in Keri Hilson's song "Knock You Down". Slick Rick was a both a visionary and a positive influence to the generation. Must one person simply say he's him just to sound better?!? In my opinion, Real rap is in '79-'91, and some later. MF Doom, De La Soul, MC Lyte, Special Ed, KMD, A Tribe Called Quest, 3rd Bass, Slick Rick, Biz Markie, Ahmad, Beastie Boys, Skee Lo, Public Enemy, The Lox, and Sir Mix-A-Lot are the ones with the dope beat, Pleasant sounding Lyricist, and made rap POETRY. Tl;dr version: Rap was a lot better years ago, don't say "Rap sucks" if you don't recognize the greatest.
I like a lot of old stuff but i do love kanye and lupe out of the current rappers. people under the stairs is a good group too kind of unknown
have you heard the slaughterhouse album though? i didn't really like budden either but i liked the album.
Not yet. But I haven't liked what I've heard from them so far (even though I think Royce is brilliant) and my homie (who DID like the songs they released beforehand) said it was pretty unpolished I'll probably get it pretty soon, but at the moment I've been preoccupied listening to Ghostface's audiobook. It's incredible. [editline]04:33AM[/editline]
In my opinion, Real rap is in '79-'91, and some later. Beastie Boys are my favourite hip hop group.
Beastie boys are not hip hop, they are god.

H-U-S-T-L-E Hustla
Guru+Inspect= sex to the ears.. IMO IMO Big L RIP and Jay Z is good too.
Jay Z's Death to Autotune beat is fire. Anyone, else share my hate of P-Diddy? He milks young talented artists of all their potential for his personal gain and dumps them to the side.
Everybody just relax, close your eyes and listen to this

Yeah, a lot of guys from where I live make their own HipHop and some of it is actually really good.
Beastie Boys are my favourite hip hop group.
Paul's Boutique was my first, and my favourite hip-hop album that I ever bought.
