• Internet connection drops & then pc fails to shut down/restart

Hey there. So recently (Within 2 or so weeks) I've noticed a massive problem with my PC. This is a limited problem as it only seems to happen on certain games... mainly ones that tend to be more data dependent on the net. - The two most notable are Arma 3 & Red Orchestra 2. So basically, all was fine until I noticed my connection icon in the bottom right of my screen changed from the standard 5 bar connection to a 5 bar connection but with a yellow exclamation stating I had limited access for some unknown reason. Now Unplugging my Belkin N wireless dongle in/out and trying other USB slots (Front and back) hasn't fixed the issue and it doesn't seem to be related to my router either as all lights stay on and other devices stay connected apart from my PC.... The biggest issue is when It comes to temporarily fixing the problem in which I have to restart my pc. Upon choosing the "shut down" or "restart" option, my computer doesn't actually do either and get's stuck on the windows shutting down/restarting screen, I have to hard restart the pc by holding the power button. I've not changed hardware in the last 2 weeks, nor updated any type of network drivers as I'm currently fully updated. I thought maybe someone could possibly shed some light onto the situation or even have an answer? Either thanks.
This sounds like a stupid question but did you try turning your PC off without the wireless dongle plugged in? i had a thing happen a while back where if my asus wireless dongle crashed in a certain way, it would actually break the windows install completely so i know they can do crazy things

Still tho, my biggest concern is why does this problem actually occur?
Maybe your wireless dongle is faulty. I personally find USB wireless dongles to be unreliable. I much prefer ones that plug into a PCIE slot.

I've had this dongle for years and never had a problem with it, but then again It could have worn it's time.
Hey there..
I've got the same problem but its limited to just shutting down and starting up. It either doesn't shutdown and idles in low power mode or won't start up and can't detect hard drives, the other thing is my graphic card is failing randomly. Motherboard may be fucked. :godzing:
