• Cheapest laptop that'll run source games halfway decently

Going to be away from home for a couple of weeks next month and I need a laptop that'll run source games decently(30ish fps). I was browsing newegg and found this, however it is a little more then I'd like to spend. Would I be able to get anything cheaper that'll do the job okay?
any laptop [editline]23rd June 2011[/editline] no really buy any laptop made within the last 3 years and it'll be able to play any source game on high at like 60 fps [editline]23rd June 2011[/editline] if you go used you might be able to pick up a computer for like $100
no really buy any laptop made within the last 3 years and it'll be able to play any source game on high at like 60 fps
Intel GMAs still exist y'know. When I had one I had to run -dxlevel 80 on low and I got 12fps.
Sandy bridge laptops with the Intel HD chip if you budget is really limited
Sandy bridge laptops with the Intel HD chip if you budget is really limited
cheapest one (with an i5 - the i3 iGPU isn't as good) is the same price a the one in the OP
Intel GMAs still exist y'know. When I had one I had to run -dxlevel 80 on low and I got 12fps.
yeah they still exist except they can play crysis now [editline]23rd June 2011[/editline] stop buying netbooks from 2009
Any non-nettop laptop should run fine as long as it was made in the last few years
Just buy any laptop with integrated ATI/AMD or NVIDIA graphics, stay away from Intel integrated graphics no matter what, even on light gaming (flash, etc.) on desktops.
The cheapest? Laptops with the AMD E350 chipset should work. They're found in low-end laptops and higher-end netbooks.
While we're talking laptops, what's everyone's opinion on this thing right here? Works great, but I'm going to have to exchange it before the week is over due to some issues with it's body.
Any laptop that doesn't use intel GMA or Nvidia ION graphics.
