• What MSN plugin is this?

Surprise surprise I go to work only to come home with all sorts of crap going on with my computer after my sister was on visiting her shitty anime streaming websites with popups and junk. My dad on her behalf ran about a billion different virus/adware/shitscanners, so atleast that is good. However I now have THIS SHIT on my MSN: How do I get rid of it? What is it? The buttons don't do anything. I couldn't find anything under options, add/remove programs, or the msn folder.
Do you have messenger plus! ? If you do, check the installed addons in there. [editline]10:45PM[/editline] http://desktopsmiley.com/go.do This appears to be something to do with it.
Your computer or your family's? You should beat her up if it's yours, or block the site
What MSN plugin is this?
Also, It appears to be Desktop Smiley
Okay, I looked it up and Google says I need to uninstall it from my add/remove. Problem is, it isn't there. I think when my dad did a virus scan it removed everything related to it, but not the addon itself from appearing (which explains why it doesn't do anything).
Reinstall MSN itself entirely?
Yeah probibly will have to do that. Oh well. Does anyone know where MSN stores avatar/emot information?

Thanks. Well by avatars I mean the the little "batch" of avatars you can select and browse from. I guess it just references the original image in that case.
It only stores your current one online, I don't know where it stores your browsable ones from.

Meh gotta start with a clean slate I guess, everything wiped in messenger.
But the smileys are cute, why get rid of them?
Just uninstall messenger, and then reinstall. just like Wally said before.
Okay I managed to install the latest version of messenger (ew) and it didn't ditch my entire smiley library I had so that's good. And it got rid of my nasty issue.
Tell your sister she is a fucking moron and should not be allowed on the internet from me, please.
You'll probably still have traces of viruses on your computer, no matter what you scan with. I'd get Firefox with noscript, then your sister shouldn't be able to do any harm.
Or just don't let your sister on your PC, and if she's going to, she should learn not to install things considering it's not her PC. Assuming it's not a family PC.
Lol OP got raped by adware.
Hmm, I had the same problem. Except my sister installed a fucking KEYLOGGER. It got my dads credit card number (she needed my pc for 5 minutes and what the fuck did i get) I was buying shit off steam (because I'm to cheap to actually get a CC) Luckily we cancelled it before anything could happen, luckily only $3 was used. but she is only ever allowed the internet when someone is ALWAYS watching, on her own little install of windows vista with UAC on, 30 different virus/malway/spybot s&d scanners on and shit like that. The sad thing is she's fucking 18. and the install of vista is on my dads pc, like it's going on mine.
Uhh.... Sisters. My sister somehow managed to fry my graphics card playing the sims one day....
