Free upgrade for Train Simulator 2012 FYI but you don't get the DLC:
Isle of Wight Add-On , Northeast Corridor Add-On, London to Brighton Add-On, Sherman Hill Add-On
it doesn't make it particularly clear also obligatory "OFF DA RAILZ" comment here
Drive with Xbox 360 controller
I'm genuinly interested to see how this will work.
Game of the year all years. Trainz are seriouz business.
Game of the year all years.
Until the next one comes out next year.
CHOO CHOO MOTHERFUCKER
Until the next one comes out next year.
Atleast It'll be free to anyone who bought it.
I never expected the performance to get better. I get 100 - 200% more FPS now.
Can anyone tell me why I get piss terrible anti-aliasing problems with the little thin rod structures in train yards? I've got everything on full, 1920x1080, but my game looks nowhere near as crisp as the screenshots.
holy shit facepunchers actually play this game this is fascinating
I like trains. Why isn't this on the XBOX 360 yet.
holy shit facepunchers actually play this game this is fascinating
What's wrong with that? Trains are cool.
No SkyTrain? Awwww. I'll try again next year....
I'm genuinly interested to see how this will work.
Something tells me steering a train with a 360 controller isn't that difficult, considering they only go one direction. I might have to try this out some day, I bought it long ago but it refused to not crash, maybe it is better now.
People actually play these games?
holy shit facepunchers actually play this game this is fascinating
Wait, I thought this was some internal joke. People here on facepunch owns this game?
Can't wait to r4pe some scrubzzz
Wait, I thought this was some internal joke. People here on facepunch owns this game?
Yes, plenty of us do, and it's a lot of fun.
I used to own Train Simulator 2004 and it was great. [editline]21st September 2012[/editline] That was back in '05.
They're great my Train Simulator 2012, got update to 2013.
Id like this series if they branched out more on the tracks. All I really see is European and American tracks, while other countries like Japan, Australia and India have some really interesting train lines that always get ignored.
- Stunningly accurate locomotives with realistic sounds
Finally, 2012 sounded like ass.
The only thing that sucks about this update is this:
Paraphrasing from section 9 of the EULA. 9.2 B. RS.Com can take ownership of stuff you make and not reimburse you. 9.2 C. Nice big disclaimer must be added in a read me for all content. 9.2 E. You can't make the same thing for a rival simulator. 9.2 I. Any editors provided are provided As-Is, not warrantied or supported. Though since they are integral to RW, I'm not sure how they could legally uphold this. And the best bit... 9.3 If you muck them about and breach the EULA, RS.com can remove access (ban you), see section 11.2
http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/showpost.php?p=32875362&postcount=5 Seriously, WTF?! Especially that "You can't make the same thing for a rival simulator" is incredibly stupid. Does GMod count as a simulator? What if I port the models of my current Lego train project to GMod?

What if I port the models of my current Lego train project to GMod?
Well, they can't own LEGO products so I find it hard to believe that they would be able to claim the rights to that in the first place. [editline]21st September 2012[/editline] Still pretty absurd that they can just claim ownership of your mods. I thought stuff like that was copy protected. [editline]21st September 2012[/editline] And even more confusing, what if I made my mod for another simulator and then ported it to this one?
Well, they can't own LEGO products so I find it hard to believe that they would be able to claim the rights to that in the first place.
Of course it's not officially Lego. The guy who does all the importing work and I simply call them "Brick Trains". Some models are the same as the Lego ones, some models are designed by me or someone else. [t]http://i.imgur.com/G10mP.jpg[/t][t]http://i.imgur.com/CRCjs.jpg[/t] So they could actually claim the rights. But as I just read, it seems the lines above only count for workshop items.
