• Internet keeps disconnecting periodically.

I have a Linskys WRT54G (I think that's the model number; it's the one that Verizon uses) router with WPA2 encryption enabled. Recently, I've been experiencing two disparate disconnection problems. 1. One computer, a desktop running XP (I'm pretty sure the WPA2 hotfix is installed), will frequently lose its internet connection; connection to the internet will be lost, and my connection to the router will fluctuate- it will be connected for a few seconds and start getting an IP adress, then it'll lose its connection for a few seconds, then it'll be connected for a few seconds, etc. Disabling and enabling the wireless device solves the problem temporarily. 2. One computer, a laptop running Vista, will occasionally lose its internet connection. The only way to fix it is to powercycle the router. However, the desktop doesn't experience outages at the same time. I've tested different connections, but they work fine and the connection stays stable. I've put up with it for a couple of weeks now, but it's really getting annoying.
I had this problem for ages. My solution? I bought a new Netgear wireless adapter and it worked ever since. Granted it was a cheap 40 dollar adapter, it still works pretty damn fine and downloads at 1.8MBps

I have same problem atm, so basically I just decided simple solution: Fuck wireless, so I am gonna get new phone line soon and fast internet with it. I just can't stand longer with that wireless.
