it's got to be a 'young adult' novel. Are there ANY that don't suck?
I need an answer within 1.5 hours thanks.
Fahrenheit 451
Fucking excellent.
the Dark Tower series
To clarify quickly, I don't much like fantasy that's really out there, and the protagonist has to be generally young. But an acceptable example is The Hobbit for a good book, and these can't have been made into a movie.
Also I'd like it to not be a series.

I had a homework to read that book. I really liked it.
I would say 1984, but I think there was a movie made about it.
1984 is too good to pass up though.
That one looks out there, but I wanted to read The Call of Cthulhu, by HP lovecraft. Too bad it turned out to be only 50 pages :C. (200 page min.) .

Read Ender's game. It fits all of your specifications and it's fucking amazing.
Anthem by Ayn Rand. Great book, really freaking fast read. If I remember correctly its something under 100 pages or so. Maybe under 120, but it's so easy to get through, and I'm a slow reader.

Good luck. You're not gonna get anywhere without a glossary.
451 is a movie.
Alot of the others just look sci-fi.

You are missing out on amazing books because you are extremely picky.
1984

I've met Mr. Card face-to-face, so I feel obligated to plug his book.
Read it.

What english teacher says to read a book that you could watch a movie for.
4000 Days.

The same one that doesn't explicitly mention you can use Sparknotes but won't count it against you if you use them instead of reading the book. :|
The Perks of Being a Wallflower by Stephen Chbosky. Although it's young adult, it has strong themes of sexual abuse and drugs.
Ender's Game is godly. When I was around 10-11, I picked it up form the library just for a simple book to read. I was completely engulfed in it.
