This is a brilliant idea!
404 child not found.
404 child not found.
yes, that's literally what the page says. thanks.
Why has't this been done sooner... it's genius!
there should be one for missing pets, I'll be like those sex ads but instead of finding singles in lower earth orbit you'll find ads for missing puppies and cats.
It's a good idea, but ALOT of people are going to be confused by this.
Too bad none of those domain parking companies are going to do this, those missing kids take up precious advertising space!
This isn't new: http://www.childnotfound.com/
The intent is good. But I'm not sure I'd really want to be reminded that someone's kid is missing every time I hit a busted link.

Fuck, that sigrid or whatever girl that got murdered in Norway could've been my fucking roommate, I probably wouldn't have remembered her face.
"I don't want to be reminded that people are missing and being raped or dying! I WANT CONVENIENCE AND COMFORT AND NOT HAVE ANY RESPONSIBILITY!!!"
That's a nice slippery slope you have there. I'm just saying, while the intent of the initiative is good, the end result can be easily seen as a nuisance. Surely there are more accessible/permanent options for getting this kind of information out there, preferably something that doesn't rely on waiting for unsuspecting people to click a broken link.
I do not really like this. The intent of this idea is of course good, it benefits - but I do not want to get reminded of someone being missing while I just accidentally open a 404'd link. And yes, in fact, I want comfort and I do not want to see missing people, I already saw enough of that on pages of my newspapers and I don't want to see something like that again.
Aren't 404 links pretty rare nowadays? And even when a link doesn't work, it's almost always picked up by the website itself instead of the browser.
